Hi,
I have 2 days to vegas either side of a winter national park tour that departs from Palms Casino, and I was originally planning to stay at the Gold Coast hotel opposite that’s west of the strip. However, now I am thinking that I probably want to be somewhere central so i can explore in the limited time I have and get the true vegas vibe.
I have provisionally booked the Linq and MGM grand hotels too (both free cancellation) but it looks like MGM grand is having big renovations that’s causing disruption and that the linq may be in a better location. Can anyone give any advice on best place to say.
I’m a 35 year old solo traveller and I’m only going to be there for half a day on the 2nd March and then one full day on the 6th so probably won’t be in the hotel too much.
Looking for somewhere that’s easy to get to the main attractions and hotels etc.
Thanks
For your short stay in Las Vegas, especially given that you'll have limited time to explore, staying somewhere central on the Strip is definitely the best option. The location will allow you to easily walk to the main attractions, casinos, and restaurants, maximizing your time in the city. Here's a breakdown of the hotels you're considering and a few other options:
The Linq is a great choice for a central location. It's located right in the heart of the Strip and within walking distance of popular attractions like the High Roller (the giant Ferris wheel), the Venetian, and the Flamingo. The area around the Linq is also very lively, with lots of restaurants, bars, and entertainment options. The Linq has a more modern feel compared to some other properties, which might be a good fit for a solo traveler like yourself.
If you're mainly looking for convenience and proximity to the heart of the Strip, the Linq is probably your best bet. The central location allows you to easily access nearby hotels, casinos, and attractions without having to spend much time in transit. The MGM Grand, while a fantastic property, might be a bit more disrupted with the renovations, so the Linq could offer a more enjoyable and convenient stay in your situation.
Given your limited time, I would suggest focusing on the Linq or exploring these alternatives. Each will put you in a great spot for walking around, soaking up the Vegas atmosphere, and getting to some of the key attractions without spending too much time in transit.
Have a great time in Vegas, and enjoy your quick but exciting trip!
