Hotel help

Coming for 3 nights in May, and looking for hotel advice. We've been twice before and stayed at the Mirage and Bellagio, but that was about 15 years ago. Looking for a little less pricey this time, and specifically a great pool. Between Paris, Luxor, NYNY and MGM Grand, which would you choose and why?

For your three-night stay in May, all four of the hotels you mentioned (Paris, Luxor, NYNY, and MGM Grand) are popular and offer great options for different experiences. Based on your desire for a more affordable stay with a great pool, here's a breakdown of each property:

  • Paris Las Vegas: Paris is a great choice if you want something with a bit of character, and the pool area is lovely, designed with a European feel and offering views of the Eiffel Tower. The location is prime, right in the heart of the Strip. It’s slightly more upscale but still within a reasonable price range for what you get. If you want a great pool combined with an excellent central location and some charm, this could be a good option.
  • Luxor: Luxor is known for its iconic pyramid-shaped building and its fun, unique Egyptian-themed decor. The pool here is large and relaxing, with a nice atmosphere but less "luxury" than some of the other pools. The prices are typically lower compared to some of the other resorts, so it’s a more budget-friendly choice. However, Luxor is located on the southern end of the Strip, which is a bit farther from some of the main attractions. If you're looking for something a bit different and budget-conscious, Luxor is a solid choice.
  • New York-New York (NYNY): NYNY is a fun, themed hotel with a great atmosphere, especially if you enjoy the New York City vibe. The pool area is nice and provides a more relaxed atmosphere than some of the larger resorts. Additionally, if you’re into thrill rides, the famous rollercoaster at NYNY is a unique addition. The hotel is located centrally on the Strip, making it easy to walk to other attractions. The price is generally moderate, and it’s often a good balance between value and experience.
  • MGM Grand: MGM Grand is one of the largest and most well-known hotels on the Strip, offering a massive pool complex with multiple pools and plenty of lounge chairs. It's a great choice for those looking for a resort-style pool experience. The property is also home to multiple dining options and entertainment, which can make it a great all-in-one destination. However, the size of the property and the crowds can make it feel less intimate. If you're after a large pool scene and lots of amenities, MGM Grand is a solid option, though it may be a bit more expensive than the other three.

Which to choose: Based on your preferences for a great pool and a more affordable option, I’d recommend either Paris or New York-New York (NYNY) as your best options. Both are centrally located, offering solid pools and a nice balance of price and experience. Paris offers a more upscale experience with its pool and location, while NYNY offers a fun vibe with its pool and the added bonus of the rollercoaster. Luxor is a more affordable option but is a bit farther from the action, and MGM Grand is fantastic for pool lovers but can be on the pricier side.

Ultimately, the decision depends on whether you prefer a fun atmosphere (NYNY), a more European vibe (Paris), or a quieter, more budget-friendly experience (Luxor). All four hotels have their unique charm, but these two seem to be the best balance between value and a great pool experience!
