Logan C to E transfer

Hi, I am flying into Logan on Jet Blue (domestic) into terminal C, then transferring to an Intl flight on Azores in terminal E. I have carryon luggage only. Will I need to go through any security and is 75 minutes generally enough if incoming flight is on time? Thank you!

Your connection from Terminal C (JetBlue) to Terminal E (Azores Airlines) at Boston Logan is definitely possible within 75 minutes, but there are a few things you should keep in mind:

  • Security Check: Since you're transferring from a domestic flight (JetBlue) to an international flight (Azores Airlines), you will need to go through security at Terminal E. Even though you're only traveling with carry-on luggage, you’ll still have to clear security before proceeding to your international flight. However, since you're on a domestic flight arriving from Terminal C, you should not need to clear customs, just security.
  • Terminal Transfer: You will need to take the shuttle bus from Terminal C to Terminal E. The shuttle bus runs frequently (every 5-10 minutes), and the ride takes about 5-7 minutes. You’ll want to head to the shuttle bus area immediately after exiting your flight at Terminal C to make sure you have enough time to get through security at Terminal E.
  • Time Consideration: 75 minutes should be enough time for most connections, provided your flight from JetBlue arrives on time. However, you should move quickly. After landing, you’ll need to head directly to the shuttle bus, and then clear security at Terminal E. If your incoming flight is delayed, it could be tight, but generally, airlines tend to hold international connections for passengers with tight connections.
  • Flight Status: Keep an eye on your incoming flight’s arrival time and any potential delays. Boston Logan is a busy airport, so delays can sometimes occur, especially with the shuttle buses between terminals. You may also want to monitor the airport monitors for any gate changes or updates on your Azores flight.

In summary, 75 minutes is generally enough, but you will need to be quick with your transfer. Make sure to follow the signs for the shuttle bus, clear security at Terminal E, and keep an eye on the time. Your airline (Azores Airlines) may also assist if you’re tight on time. Safe travels!
