Any Vegas Lovers Do Biloxi / AC

Hello , So call me naive but I never knew what Biloxi was and I still really don't get the vibe, ect. I am a Las Vegas regular ... 34 trips in 9 years, but due to fear of flying we started doing road trips. We drove to NOLA from Chicago 4 times in the last three years- we did the 4th last July, and we hit AC for the first time last July into August. On our drives to NOLA we stopped in Tunica and liked it. In NOLA we hit Harrah's every afternoon for a sun break. I guess we love gambling but we need more than just that. If we win a good amount like $200 up or so we stop and do other touristy things. We absolutely loved being at the beach in AC at night drinking while watching plovers run and we did a morning dip every day.

The boardwalk is cool as well. The casinos are kinda far from each other though. Would we like Biloxi? Should we have been doing this as a stop on the way to NOLA? We vowed not to go back to NOLA because of the heat and the fact every time we go someone is shot right about where we hang out all night either days before we get to NOLA or once just a few hours later. But I live in Chicago so this is not the main deterrent. Heat is. And I am not a bar or club hangout person , we like casinos and live free music, oh and drinking.
