Easter Brunch
Any recommendations for Easter Brunch. Staying in Kaanapali but willing to drive up to half hour. Under a $100/person would be great.
Great question — good on you for thinking ahead. Here are some Easter brunch ideas on Maui (especially if you’re staying in Kāʻanapali) that try to hit around or under your ~$100/person target, plus some tradeoffs and tips.
Here are some possible brunch spots + buffets for Easter (or similar spring brunch) near or within reasonable driving distance from Kāʻanapali:
- Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel – Tiki Terrace: According to older Easter-brunch roundups, the Tiki Terrace has done Easter brunch before (cold seafood, carving station, local favorites). Price cited: ~$58 for adults. This is very close to where you're staying, so logistically it's easy and under your budget.
- Hāliʻimaile General Store: Upcountry, but worth the drive if you don’t mind going a bit inland. Their Easter brunch has been around ~$49 (in older listings) for adults. The setting is very charming and more relaxed / scenic.
- Outrigger Kāʻanapali Beach Resort – Maui Brewing Company brunch: According to the resort’s Easter event listing, they host a brunch buffet: build-your-own omelets, island fruits, “sweet treats like waffle churro bites,” etc. The cost is very reasonable: $35 per adult, $18 for kids 12 and under. That’s well under $100 and very accessible.
- Café O‘Lei at the Mill House: From older “Things to Do” roundups, they sometimes run a brunch buffet for ~$52 for adults. It’s a little more of a drive, but is known for a solid menu and a scenic venue.
My Recommendations / Tips:
- I lean toward the Outrigger / Maui Brewing Co. brunch — it’s very close, very affordable, and has enough variety (omelet station, island fruits, sweet treats) to feel like a treat without blowing your budget.
- The Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel – Tiki Terrace is another top pick given proximity and its resort-buffet feel. Ideal for a more “island brunch” experience without needing to go too far.
- If you’re okay driving ~20–30 minutes, Hāliʻimaile General Store gives a more local, rustic, upcountry brunch feel, and historically their Easter brunch has been very reasonably priced.
- Make reservations early. Easter is a busy holiday, and brunch spots (especially buffets) often fill up. Call ahead (or use OpenTable) to secure a spot.
Bottom line: Yes — there *are* very good Easter brunch options within or near Kāʻanapali that fit your under-$100/person target. The Outrigger / Maui Brewing Co. brunch is probably your best bet for value + convenience. If you want something a little more scenic and don’t mind a drive, Hāliʻimaile General Store is a wonderful alternative.
