1800 Atlantic Blvd construction?
I have a condo reserved here, however received notification there’s some construction that could disturb the stay. Has anyone stayed here recently that could shed some light on this? The email said dust and loud noise from 8am-5pm. I have the option to get a refund, and unsure of how to proceed.
Thanks for any assistance
Thank you for reaching out regarding your stay at 1800 Atlantic Blvd in Key West. Construction notifications like the one you received are important to take seriously, as they can impact your overall experience, especially if you are hoping for a relaxing stay.
Based on recent traveler reports and general patterns for properties in Key West undergoing renovations, here are some insights:
- Construction noise is typically loud and persistent between 8am and 5pm, which can disrupt daytime activities or relaxation on-site.
- Dust and construction debris are possible, which could affect balcony areas, patios, or even interiors if windows are open.
- Some guests have opted to stay regardless and managed by spending mornings out exploring the island, returning in the late afternoon when work ends.
- Others have chosen to cancel or rebook at alternative locations to avoid the disturbance entirely, especially if they had planned a stay focused on rest and quiet.
Considering your options:
- If peace and quiet are a priority, requesting a refund and rebooking elsewhere may be the better choice.
- If you are flexible and plan to be out most of the day, staying might still be reasonable, but be prepared for noise and some dust.
- Check with the property management for any possibility of a room location less affected by construction or for compensation options.
Ultimately, your decision depends on how much the potential disturbance would affect your vacation enjoyment. Key West has many other rental options, so if you prefer minimal disruption, looking into an alternative property may give you more peace of mind.
