Visiting Orlando, SeaWorld and aquatica in July
My family and I would be visiting Orlando this July from the 13th to the 21th from CT. We are planning on visiting SeaWorld and aquatica since we found tickets, 2 day passes with dining for 2 any park. We are wondering which are best days to visit during the weekday. And would quick queue worth buying? Either the plus quick queue with reserve seating for shows or just the quick queue?
My kids are 7yrs old measuring 51in and 3 yrs old measuring 40in. I noticed the quick queue only has a few ride and must of them are for 54in and taller. So wondering if it's worth?
Visiting SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica in July can be a fun but busy experience, so planning your days carefully will help maximize your enjoyment. Since you have a 7-year-old (51in) and a 3-year-old (40in), you’ll want to focus on rides and attractions suitable for their height while considering crowd levels and the value of Quick Queue passes.
Best Days to Visit:
Weekdays are generally less crowded than weekends, especially in mid-July when schools are on summer break. To minimize wait times:
- Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday are typically the least crowded weekdays at SeaWorld and Aquatica.
- Avoid Mondays (carryover crowds from weekend) and Fridays (start of weekend crowds) if possible.
- Arrive early, ideally before the park opens, to enjoy popular attractions with minimal wait.
Quick Queue Considerations:
Quick Queue can be very helpful for rides that your kids are tall enough for, but given that your 3-year-old is below the height requirement for most thrill rides, the value may be limited:
- Plus Quick Queue with reserved seating for shows: This could be more valuable for your family since it allows skipping lines at shows and more kid-friendly attractions where height isn’t a restriction.
- Standard Quick Queue: Mostly useful for thrill rides (54in+) and high-demand attractions. Since your younger child can’t ride most of these, it may not provide much benefit.
Suggested Strategy:
- Plan your days around kid-friendly rides and attractions, such as Sesame Street Land at SeaWorld, which is perfect for both your 3- and 7-year-old.
- Use the Plus Quick Queue if you want to ensure reserved seating at shows (like Shamu or live performances), which everyone in the family can enjoy.
- At Aquatica, focus on water play areas and slides suitable for your children’s heights. Some attractions, like the lazy river and kid-friendly splash areas, do not require Quick Queue.
- Consider splitting park time: spend a morning at SeaWorld on a less crowded weekday, then another weekday at Aquatica to avoid peak crowd times.
Other Tips:
- Bring swimwear, sunscreen, and a change of clothes for Aquatica.
- Use the park app to check wait times in real-time and plan your routes efficiently.
- Take advantage of shaded areas and indoor attractions during the hottest part of the day (typically 12–3 PM in July).
- Hydrate frequently and take breaks to avoid fatigue for the younger child.
In summary, for your family, the Plus Quick Queue with show seating is likely more worthwhile than the standard Quick Queue, and visiting midweek will give you the best balance of lower crowds and manageable lines. Prioritize attractions suitable for your children’s heights to make the experience enjoyable for everyone.
