Anniversary dinner

Looking for a quiet restaurant for our 44th anniversary. Probably not seafood since we just spent the last 3 days in Key West. We like to stay under a $ 100.00 for both of us, I don't drink so no wine etc will be drunk. Thank you!

Happy 44th anniversary! Congratulations — that’s wonderful. Naples has a number of charming, relatively affordable restaurants that are great for a quieter, romantic dinner without breaking the $100 total budget (especially since you’re not ordering wine). Here are several suggestions plus some tips to help you pick the right spot.

  • Pazzo! Cucina Italiana — This is a warm, classic Italian restaurant on Fifth Avenue South. Known for its handmade pastas and comforting Italian dishes, the OpenTable “Value” list shows that many entrées are under $30.
  • The 239 Naples — They offer a 3-course dinner for about $49/person (before tax + tip). Depending on how you order, you can definitely stay under $100 for both of you. Their menu includes pasta, vegetarian bowls, and a few meat options.
  • Bicyclette Cookshop — A newer New American restaurant in Naples (Vanderbilt Beach area) with a creative, shareable small-plates style. Reddit users recommend it as a good spot that’s “not so crazy prices.” The ambiance is relaxed yet thoughtful — perfect for an anniversary dinner that feels special without being too formal.
  • Ristorante Machiavelli — A cozy, neighborhood Italian spot that’s known for its consistent quality and old-school charm. The prices are reasonable for classic Italian fare, making it a sweet choice for a quiet, romantic evening.
  • Aji Limon — According to locals on Reddit, this is a “good spot … pretty inexpensive.” While it has some seafood, it also offers other dishes, and the laid-back vibe is great for a relaxed anniversary dinner.

Other Tips & Suggestions:

  • Call ahead and check the menu: Menus sometimes change, so it’s smart to verify current prices to make sure you’ll stay within your budget.
  • Consider dining early: Many restaurants offer early evening dinner specials, which can make the evening more affordable.
  • Choose shared appetizers or small plates: At places like Bicyclette, sharing a few small plates can make the meal feel special — and help control cost.
  • Ask for a quiet table: When making a reservation (or arriving), mention that it’s your anniversary — many spots will be happy to seat you somewhere more intimate.

My Recommendation: Given your anniversary and budget, The 239 Naples or Pazzo! Cucina Italiana feel like the best fits. The 3-course deal at The 239 is particularly appealing for a celebratory dinner, and Pazzo! offers classic Italian fare with a cozy, romantic feel.
