grocery store?

Hello, we will be starting our Maine trip flying into Boston and staying in Kennebunkport the first couple nights as we travel up the coast. Where is there a grocery store in southern Maine for us to get a few things? Thanks

Welcome to Maine! If you’re looking for a grocery store to pick up a few items while staying in Kennebunkport, there are several options in the southern Maine area where you can find what you need.

Here are a few grocery stores near Kennebunkport:

  • Shaw's Supermarket – Located in Kennebunk, just a short drive from Kennebunkport. This is a large grocery store with a full range of groceries, including fresh produce, meats, snacks, and beverages. It’s a convenient option for stocking up on supplies for your trip.
  • Rye Harbor Market – Located in nearby Rye, New Hampshire, this market offers fresh produce and specialty items, as well as local goods. It’s a bit farther than Shaw’s, but it’s a good choice if you’re looking for something unique or local.
  • Portside Market – This is a local market located in the heart of Kennebunkport. It’s smaller than the larger chains but carries a good selection of groceries, local produce, snacks, and prepared foods. A great place for grabbing quick essentials or something special to enjoy during your stay.
  • Whole Foods Market – If you’re looking for organic or specialty items, there is a Whole Foods Market in Portland, about 30 minutes away from Kennebunkport. It’s a bit of a drive, but if you’re in need of specific organic or gluten-free products, this is a good option.

If you’re just looking to pick up a few essentials for your stay in Kennebunkport, Portside Market and Shaw's Supermarket will be the most convenient and closest to your location. Both offer a good variety of groceries, including local Maine products like lobster and fresh seafood.

Enjoy your time in Kennebunkport and the rest of your Maine adventure!
