Budget cars

Hi I am flying into MCO terminal c for the first time in 3 weeks with BA (always used Virgin before). Has anyone picked up a budget car can give me some advice, I opted into the quick pass do I just go straight to level 2 and pick the car up from there? Confusing online regarding quick pass and fast break? Also is there an e toll visitor pass on level 1? Thanks

Picking up a Budget rental car at Orlando International Airport (MCO) Terminal C is a relatively straightforward process, but I understand that the terminology can be a bit confusing, especially with options like QuickPass and FastBreak. Here’s how you can make the most of your rental experience:

  • QuickPass vs. FastBreak:

The "QuickPass" option allows you to skip the counter and go directly to your car, which is ideal if you’ve already selected your vehicle in advance. If you’ve opted for this service, you’ll head straight to the rental car lot (located on Level 2 of the parking garage). In most cases, your car should be ready for pick-up, and you’ll find your rental car waiting for you in the designated Budget area.

FastBreak is a similar program, but it typically refers to a service for frequent Budget renters, where they can access their rental car more quickly without waiting in line at the counter. If you’ve enrolled in FastBreak, you may have your car pre-selected and ready to go, but always check your reservation to confirm.

  • Picking Up the Car on Level 2:

If you have QuickPass, you are correct in going straight to Level 2 to pick up your car. There should be signs directing you to the Budget rental area. The parking garage is where the cars are stationed, and you can locate your specific car based on the information from your reservation.

If you’re unsure about where to go on Level 2, just follow the signs for "Rental Cars" or "Budget," and there will be plenty of staff available to assist if needed.

  • E-Toll Visitor Pass:

Yes, there is typically an option to purchase an E-Toll Visitor Pass when you pick up your rental car, and it’s available at the Budget desk or kiosk on Level 1 (at the car rental center). The E-Toll pass allows you to drive on Florida’s toll roads without stopping to pay tolls manually. It's a convenient option if you plan to drive on roads like the Florida Turnpike or other toll routes during your trip.

The toll pass will be automatically linked to your rental, and the tolls will be charged to your rental agreement. Be sure to check the rates for the toll pass as they can vary, and it’s often more convenient than paying for individual tolls as you go.

In summary, with your QuickPass, you can head straight to Level 2 to pick up your rental car, and the E-Toll Visitor Pass can be acquired on Level 1 if you need it. The process should be pretty smooth once you arrive at the rental car area, but don't hesitate to ask a staff member for assistance if you’re uncertain about where to go!
