Hollywood Studios event Aug 16th?

I see the park closed at 6:00pm on Saturday August 16th but I don’t see a special event ticket or after hours ticket for that day. Is there something else going on and can I purchase a ticket for that evening? I see where there is a Halloween character dining experience starting that day at Hollywood and Vine from Google but don’t see where that is listed either or if it is during the day or just for the evening with a different ticket?

For Saturday, August 16th, Hollywood Studios is scheduled to close at 6:00 pm. Currently, Disney has not listed any special after-hours event ticket for that day, such as a “Disney After Hours” or separate Halloween event. Sometimes parks close earlier for private events, maintenance, or seasonal adjustments, but if no official after-hours ticket is offered, general park admission is only valid until the posted closing time.

The Halloween character dining experience at Hollywood & Vine is indeed starting around that time, but this is a separate reservation-based dining experience and does not require a special event ticket to enter the park beforehand. Typically, these dining events occur during the day and early evening hours, and guests must have either a standard park ticket or a dining reservation that includes park entry for the applicable time. It is not an after-hours event; it runs concurrently with normal park operating hours.

Key points to consider:

  • No official after-hours or special event ticket is available for Hollywood Studios on August 16th, so park access will end at 6:00 pm with a regular ticket.
  • The Halloween character dining at Hollywood & Vine is a reservation-based experience that is included in the dining cost, not a separate park ticket. It usually operates during the day and early evening.
  • If you are hoping for evening events or extended hours, Disney sometimes offers “after hours” events closer to Halloween, but those dates and tickets are sold separately and are usually listed months in advance.

If your main goal is to experience evening activities, dining, or character interactions, plan your visit so that the dining reservation fits within normal park hours. Otherwise, you won’t be able to stay past the official 6:00 pm closing time without a special ticketed event, which does not appear to be scheduled for that date.

It’s a good idea to check the official Disney World website or My Disney Experience app for any last-minute changes to park hours or special events, especially in the summer months when schedules can be adjusted.
