Miami Beach Christmas Break…

Thinking of bringing our 14 year old daughter for a few days on Christmas break. I realize that’s a busy time but we have to travel on her breaks. Is it generally warm enough to sunbathe by the beach or is that pretty iffy in December? Is there a good shopping Mall near Miami Beach area? Hotel/resort recommendation with 14 year old on the beach? Thank you for any help!
