Airplane: Wuyuan does not have an airport. If you choose to fly, you can transfer in Jingdezhen, Nanchang, Huangshan, etc., and then choose train or bus transportation.
Train: You can take a train directly to Wuyuan High-speed Railway Station from many places. If there is no direct train, it is recommended to transfer in Jingdezhen or Jiujiang. There are long-distance buses from these two places to Wuyuan, and the journey takes about two hours.
Tips:
The rape flowers in the southwestern townships of Wuyuan bloom earlier, around early March. The peak flowering period in the northeastern townships of Wuyuan (such as Qinghua and Jiangwan Town) is from early March to early April. The flowering period in Jiangling and Qingyuan in Duanzi Township will be a few days later than in surrounding areas due to the high mountains and cold water.
There are tens of millions of acres of rapeseed fields. Go to Huazhong Agricultural University to feel how it is close to the land and nourishes life; go to Wuyuan to see its simple and natural scenery against the backdrop of white walls and green tiles; or go to Jingmen to feel its broad mind.

However, if you're looking for a balance between the three, I think only Wuxue can satisfy you. Looking down at the flower fields, it's like a yellow ocean, surrounded by green trees and red walls, and surrounded by layered hills. The peaks, terraced fields, lakes, and houses form a three-dimensional picture with the sea of rapeseed flowers.

Cruise: Take a bus to Shendu Town Pier and go along the Xin'an River to Kengkou. You will see some small attractions along the way, such as the Red Makeup Pavilion, the Millennium Camphor Tree, Jiangjunbu, and the Indoor Ice Sculpture Hall. The round trip takes about 3.5 hours.
Hiking: Take a bus to Xiong Village, then hike all the way along the river. You will need to take the ferry several times on the way. Along the way, you will pass Pukou, Nanyuankou, Kengkou, Zhangtan, Miantan, and finally arrive at Shendu Town, a total of 20 to 30 kilometers. There are shuttle buses from Kengkou to Shendu Town, or you can just hike from Xiong Village to Nanyuankou.

"In April, Macheng is the place to see the azaleas," and "Macheng's azaleas are the best in the world." Literati and scholars have praised Macheng's azaleas with high praise. The azaleas here are the most concentrated, covering over 100,000 mu (approximately 1,000 hectares). These are typical examples of the primitive Ericaceae family. The trees are also ancient, with an average age of over 100 years, making them one of the largest ancient azalea ecological communities in China.

While the azaleas of Yunwu Mountain aren't as famous as those in Macheng, they are a vibrant gathering place for wild rhododendrons. Yunwu Mountain is renowned in Jianghan for its majestic peaks and imposing mass. It forms the transition zone between the Dabie Mountains and the Jianghan Plain. Covering a total area of 25 square kilometers, the mountains boast distinct seasons, abundant sunshine, plentiful rainfall, and a pleasant climate. Forest coverage exceeds 95%.
The atmosphere is quiet and full of wildness, and the water resources are even more abundant, with rivers and streams crisscrossing, springs and waterfalls alternating, and beaches and pools dotted around.

If viewing flowers is not enough for you, there is no better place than here: Yunwu Mountain Clay Figure King Village is known as the "Hometown of Chinese Clay Sculptures". The saying "There is Clay Figure Zhang in the north and Clay Figure King in the south" comes from here. It has simple and unique local folk customs and a long-standing religious culture. The Zhulin Temple is built on the mountainside, with pavilions standing tall.
