Shisuntou Village, where Nanjian Rock is located, is over 1,400 meters above sea level. To see the sea of clouds, you don’t need to climb a mountain, just wait patiently.
The clouds and mist here come and go without a trace, their ever-changing forms elusive. Standing atop a cliff, awaiting them, one can see a sea of bamboo before one, terraced fields beyond, and distant, overlapping green hills. Suddenly, white clouds rise from the valley floor, vanishing within minutes, only to return like a dragon from the distant valley floor.

The county boasts simple folk customs, a flourishing literary scene, and historical sites scattered throughout. There are perfectly preserved Ming and Qing dynasty buildings, and an idyllic atmosphere and scenery. The entire area resembles a wet gouache painting, or a Monet impressionist painting, strewn with film-killing beauty.
Wuyuan boasts picturesque scenery, with lush pines and bamboo trees lining the landscape. Ancient dwellings with upturned eaves and corners meander among the verdant hills and waters. Some lean against the hillsides, hidden among ancient trees and verdant forests; others lean against the water, their reflections reflected in the clear springs and ponds. These contrast beautifully with the terraced fields and swirling clouds, creating a picturesque scene. Each season offers its own unique charm, especially in spring and autumn, when azaleas and crimson maple leaves blanket the mountains like clusters of flames, vying for splendor. Such scenery is truly refreshing and unforgettable.
