Although Shaanxi's skiing resources are not as good as Xinjiang and Northeast China, there are still many ski resorts. Today I will introduce to you one of the most anticipated ski resorts this winter - Aoshan Ski Resort.
1. The second highest peak in Shaanxi - located in the southeast of Taibai County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, also known as West Taibai. The highest peak, Maijieling, has an altitude of 3,520 meters. It is the second independent peak in the Qinling Mountains in Taibai.
2. A popular destination for hikers: As one of the top ten “unknown” mountains in China, the Aoshan orienteering route is regarded by domestic hikers as one of the six best outdoor tour routes in the country.
3. Rich in cultural history - When the great poet Li Bai visited Aoshan, he wrote: "I climb west to Taibai Peak, and the setting sun reaches my peak. Taibai speaks to me, and opens the gates of heaven for me." Legend has it that Sun Simiao, a famous doctor in the Tang Dynasty, also lived in the west Taibai Aoshan for many years, studying medicine and writing books.
4. Endless natural scenery - the enigmatic natural landscapes such as the Forty-mile Paomaling Ridge, the snow in June, the majestic Xieyu Pass, the winding Taochuan River, and the ancient Qingfeng Temple constitute the graceful beauty of Aoshan.
Aoshan Ski Resort is located on Aoshan, the second main peak of China's Qinling Mountains. It covers an area of 6 square kilometers and is located at an altitude of 1500-2600m. It is surrounded by mountains on all sides and has unique location advantages and ski resort conditions.
It belongs to Taibai County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. The surrounding natural resources are also quite rich. Qingfeng Gorge, Red River Valley Forest Park, Huangbaiyuan, Famen Temple and other attractions are inlaid around it, and the surrounding hot spring resources are also extremely rich.
Aoshan Ski Resort is a comprehensive mountain sports tourism and leisure resort with skiing and mountain outdoor activities as its theme, summer vacation, medical care and elderly care as its support. It integrates a series of products such as high-end ski resorts, outdoor camps, leisure vacations, and ecological tourism real estate. It covers a total area of 16 square kilometers and the total planned investment of the project is nearly 2 billion.
The ecology is beautiful, with a forest coverage rate of up to 91.77%; it is a natural oxygen bar with more than 50,000 negative oxygen ions per cubic centimeter; the scenery is beautiful, with lakes, rivers, valleys and peaks integrated into one.

Currently, there are 2 high-speed towed six-seater cable cars (7 cable cars are planned) and 4 magic carpets (5 magic carpets are planned), with a maximum capacity of 8,500 people per hour.
Intermediate and advanced ski slopes - the slopes are long and steep, suitable for experienced skiers with relatively proficient skiing skills. They take the cable car to the highest point of the slopes and then slide down.
Beginner Ski Trail - The trail is short and has a gentle slope, suitable for beginners. You can only go up and down by magic carpet, not cable car.
Aoshan Ski Resort has opened its new ski equipment hall for the 2018-2019 season. The four-story hall is Northwest China's largest visitor center, integrating ski equipment rental and storage, merchandise sales, dining and leisure facilities, and a VIP club.
The ski equipment hall will be connected to the entrance to the ski resort. If you feel tired of skiing and want to eat and rest, you don’t need to return the ski equipment. You can directly enter the ski equipment hall through a special passage to have a meal. After eating, you can enter the ski resort to ski.
At Aoshan Ski Resort, all the ski rental equipment provided to skiers comes from Rossignol, the world's largest winter sports equipment manufacturer.
The large snow entertainment park covers an area of about 20,000 square meters, and has more than a dozen snow entertainment projects, including ski rings, snowmobiles, banana boats, snow excavators, non-powered motorcycles, snowmobiles, snow sleds, etc., which integrate laughter and joy into the ice and snow, allowing you to have fun and enjoy yourself.

The closed snow trails will use beginner trails:
1. By leveling the site and filling and removing earthwork, the original primary road slope was reduced from 11 degrees to about 8.6 degrees;
2. Extend the stopping area to about 50 meters to ensure that skiing students with a certain level of basic skills can slow down and stop on their own to ensure skiing safety;
3. The entire beginner ski slope is 120 meters wide and is planned to be divided into two slopes, each about 60 meters wide, separated by a safety net in the middle to ensure that skiers on both sides can slide independently and effectively control each other to reduce collision accidents;
4. The total area of the entire primary area is 52,167 square meters, which can accommodate 1,200 people skiing at the same time.
