Hong Kong Disneyland Frozen Adventure, including a guide to the Disney New Year's Eve party

Preface

At the end of each year, everyone starts to take stock of whether the plans made at the beginning of the year have been completed. In my opinion, the fastest way to complete a plan is to do it as soon as you think of it, just like the "Frozen Journey" at Hong Kong Disneyland this time, where you can just go when you want, just for the pleasure of it.

Frozen 2 has taken Chinese cinemas by storm. Its unparalleled visuals and thrilling plot have me craving a Frozen Journey adventure this weekend.

It just so happens that Hong Kong Disneyland is holding the A Disney Christmas celebration, which will continue until January 1 next year.

Take the high-speed rail from Guangzhou South or Shenzhen North and it takes less than an hour to reach West Kowloon Station.

After getting off the bus, I went straight to the "Magic Direct" customer service center, where enthusiastic staff helped me check in at the hotel and checked in my luggage. All I had to do was go directly to the park.

Tips:

At the West Kowloon Station Customer Service Centre, you can book a free shuttle bus to the resort;

At the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Port Customer Service Center, you can make reservations for specific restaurants in the park and hotels!

Tickets, hotels, etc. can be booked through the Hong Kong Disneyland official website, Hong Kong Disneyland app or OTA platforms such as the Fliggy flagship store. Remember to choose formal and reliable channels.

Download the "Hong Kong Disneyland" app, which contains all the necessary information for fun, very convenient!

Estimated duration: 10 minutes.

Hong Kong Disneyland

Before entering the park, let’s take a photo and check in. Wow, the ticket is a cool Ant-Man and Wasp series.

Warm reminder:

You can pick up a park guide at the ticket gate to ensure efficient play. The location of the Frozen Town in Dream Garden is coordinate number 55 on the map. Let's go!

Dream Garden "Frozen" Town

In a split second, I was transported to another world. A world of ice and snow appeared on the lawn, ice-blue colored lights, and clusters of white flowers resembled snow on the green lawn. It was like a scene from "Frozen 2" extending here.

At night, the Dream Garden looks even more charming under the light. The plants disappear in the night, leaving only decorations that emit pure light like ice and snow. The Christmas tree is already piled with "white snow", as if entering the Kingdom of Arendelle, where the story of Anna and Elsa will be staged.

When you come here, don’t forget to take a photo with the two princesses Anna and Elsa. They are so beautiful and fairy-like, and they are also very friendly and enthusiastic when taking photos.

If you want the two new seasonal limited-edition dresses that Anna and Elsa wore in "Frozen 2", you can find the same ones in the "Fairy Tale Art Studio - Magic Makeup Room" in Fantasy World. It is recommended for families with little princesses.

There are also many winter-limited products and Frozen-themed food and drinks in the town, which is great for shopping.

The four that I would definitely recommend to you are "Little White Marshmallow", "Little White Coconut Red Bean Pudding", "Elsa Vanilla Blueberry Jelly" and "Frozen Drink Cup".

Even before I tasted it, I was already captivated by its appearance alone. And the taste and appearance will not disappoint you. Share it with your friends and get all the delicious food from the Snow Country.

Reception Room

I went straight to the reception room and saw a long queue at the door. Everyone came to take a photo with Christmas Mickey. After all, this was the first time that Christmas Mickey appeared in Hong Kong Disneyland this year.

In the reception room, Christmas Mickey was already waiting for us in festive attire and full of Christmas atmosphere. All we had to do was take a happy photo.

I don’t know why, but whenever people see Mickey, they can’t help but smile. Maybe that’s its charm, it always brings joy and happiness to everyone.

There are quite a lot of Christmas activities. This year, Disney has launched a newly designed Christmas Wish charity postcard, on which you can write your blessings to your relatives and friends.

There are 4 types of postcards to choose from, each priced at HK$10. The park will donate all the proceeds from the sale of postcards (without deducting the cost) to the Love Christmas Campaign, which is quite meaningful.

Stitch fans, take note! This year, there will be a Christmas Stitch show at the Comet Restaurant in Tomorrowland. Don't miss out!

Main Street, U.S.A.

Walking along the streets of small American towns, one is struck by the dazzling array of Christmas decorations: the streetlights, the Mickey Mouse lanterns, the buildings along the road, the cars driving along the street—everywhere is filled with colorful Christmas elements. The entire American town street is filled with a festive atmosphere.

Under the blue sky and white clouds, the castle spire is like a fairy tale, and the huge Christmas tree opposite is also very eye-catching, which makes people want to take photos and check in. Believe it or not, I believe that the relationship blessed by the Christmas tree will last forever.

The performers at Hong Kong Disneyland are absolutely treasure-troves, with a wide variety of street performances, friendly and lovely performers, and the clever performers can even use cleaning tools to draw the cute Olaf.

If you are lucky enough to meet them, don’t forget to take a photo with them. They are all respectable people who contribute to people’s joy. Of course, there are also interesting stickers to get.

Promise me you'll come to Main Street, U.S.A. at night—a romantic scene straight out of television. The dazzling balloons during the day create a captivating, dreamlike spectacle at night, while the bustling crowds of guests enjoy themselves on the main street, filled with laughter and joy.

Even the Christmas windows on both sides of the street are full of festive atmosphere. Disney friends are with everyone all the time, and even a small corner is made to amaze everyone.

The highlight of the event was the "Dream Come True Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony." To the sound of beautiful music, the Christmas tree transformed into the park's dazzling star, showcasing its splendor. Besides the excitement, everyone was eager to make a wish while the falling snow created a fairytale-like beauty.

Main Street Department Store, USA

If we were to talk about a treasure trove, the shops in the theme park resort would be it, such as the Main Street Department Store, U.S.A., where we could find so many Disney friends that we could take back home.

The park has more than 90 "Frozen" themed products and more than 190 Christmas-themed products, which are perfect for New Year gifts and you will definitely be able to shop to your heart's content.

They are all the globally popular ice and snow-colored accessories, including headbands, bags, and clothes. Moreover, they are in line with the theme, very durable and practical, with great quality, and can be used immediately after purchase.

The latest products launched are all in the style of "Frozen 2". Look at how blingbling they are, buy them!

This is also a great place to buy souvenirs, like Mickey and Minnie Mouse dolls dressed in Christmas costumes—you'll never be able to buy more! Clothes, ornaments, and practical items are also very popular.

The chic new nuiMOs series features movable arms and legs, as well as interchangeable clothing. Styles include Mickey Mouse and several Disney friends. Buy multiple figures and customize their looks to your heart's content. Special Christmas edition outfits are also available.

Tips:

Don’t worry about payment issues. WeChat Pay is accepted in the park and three hotels within the resort, making shopping and dining very convenient.

Small Town Cinema

As a fan of Duffy and Friends, when you come to Hong Kong Disneyland, you must go to the Town Cinema.

What you must do is take a photo with CookieAnn. Every Disney friend is very enthusiastic.

Duffy, adorable, warm, and caring, is a favorite of every little fairy. This winter, Hong Kong Disneyland launched 14 exclusive Bespoke collections for Duffy's good friend, CookieAnn. Every one of them is a must-have. There's even a CookieAnn doll in a pink dress—it's incredibly adorable.

Duffy and her friends put on colorful and warm knitted new outfits. The super cute Tsum Tsum will keep you warm all winter long. The Keep Me Warm series of products and stationery sets are so popular with my bestie and me.

Castle Square Stage

I love the Castle Square stage; it's full of fun and surprises day and night. Being this close to Christmas, I'm incredibly excited.

During the day, this is the home of Mickey and his friends. At the "Mickey and Friends Christmas Ball", Disney friends dressed in winter costumes, dance and sing on the stage, which is the peak moment of joy during the day.

Have you ever seen a castle in the snow? The snowflakes scattered all over the sky have put on a new outfit for the beautiful castle. In the new "Frozen Snow Moment", Disney friends and we in the audience are all lost in the falling snowflakes. This is the best gift of winter.

Don't go away! Princess Anna and Elsa from "Frozen" will continue their magical journey, performing a magical sci-fi spectacle on the Castle Square stage in the dark. Familiar friends will also appear, bringing us an audio-visual feast of lights, song and dance.

Small Town Main Street Train Station

No matter how wonderful a journey is, it always comes to an end. The “Christmas Farewell Moment” brought by Christmas Gaofei moved me deeply at the end of this trip.

About Food

Whether it is a hotel or a theme park, whether it is a Christmas dinner or Christmas snacks, Hong Kong Disneyland offers more than 70 options to satisfy all our fantasies about Christmas food.

Main Street Restaurant: Coca-Cola® Christmas Set Menu

The exquisite and delicious Coca-Cola® Christmas set menu features smoked turkey chicken and Gammon ham with Fanta® mango salad as appetizers. The food is carefully made with Christmas elements and is very beautiful.

(Seared shrimp, salmon, scallop and mussel rolls, stir-fried mixed vegetables, pumpkin and potato puree with Sprite® lemongrass cream sauce)

(Seared lamb rack and crispy pork skewers, stir-fried vegetables, spinach and tomato pasta with Coca-Cola® special sauce)

For the main course, you can choose between pan-fried lamb rack or pan-fried prawns, both of which are delicious. They are also paired with vegetables, staple foods, drinks, etc., which are both beautiful and substantial, and pleasing to the eye.

I absolutely loved the Black Forest Mousse Cake with Mixed Berry and Raspberry Sauce dessert. The delicate, miniature Santa Claus shape was a delicacy only a place as imaginative as Disney could create. This meal was a visual and palate-pleasing feast, and the perfect sense of ritual added to the happiness.

There are many other "ice and snow"-themed delicacies at Hong Kong Disneyland, such as the "Little White Cupcakes" at the Market Bakery. They are so cute, so please explore them yourself!

Rocket Restaurant: Rocket Christmas Set Menu

I have always liked the Rocket Restaurant in Tomorrowland. It has a cool exterior and offers a variety of delicious food. This time we ordered the Rocket Christmas Set Menu.

Half a fried chicken, paired with sweet and sour cranberry sauce, sweet cheese tortilla chips, and a flavorful cup of mushroom garlic sauce, is a filling meal. This is a limited-edition dish for A Disney Christmas, only available during the event!

About the hotel

Disney Explorers Lodge

This time, we chose the Disney Explorers Lodge. Upon entering, we were immediately captivated by the two dazzling Christmas trees at the entrance. Unexpectedly, there was an even more magnificent one in the lobby. Exquisite decorations covered the entire tree, and the joyful Christmas atmosphere permeated every corner of the hotel.

The hotels in Hong Kong Disneyland never disappoint. Not only is there a Christmas tree in the lobby, but the rooms are also meticulously designed, with surprises in every detail, including slippers, bedside tables, and bathrooms.

I really like the bath products in the room. The lid is shaped like a Mickey Mouse head, and the Christmas gifts are also very unique.

Conclusion

If happiness had a synonym, it would definitely be Hong Kong Disneyland. Every time I visit, I arrive with excitement and leave with a bang. This spontaneous trip brought me many long-lost moments and rare surprises.

On the high-speed train back home, looking at the stickers I got from the theme park, it felt as if those joyful times were still fresh in my mind. Thanks to Hong Kong Disneyland, it was a wonderful weekend of ice and snow. I'm sure the next touching moment won't be long.
