If you ask Shenzhen residents which coastline they have been to, the most common answer is Dameisha and Xiaomeisha.

This place carries the youthful memories of many Shenzhen people. When I was a child, I followed my mother to the Ocean Theater to watch dolphins diving, walked crookedly on the seaside boardwalk holding my father's hand, and in high school, I made an appointment with the person I loved to go camping and barbecue at the beach in the sea breeze.
But now the Big and Small Meisha are being demolished and renovated, and the noisy construction sounds have broken the memories.

Although you can’t go to Dameisha and Xiaomeisha now, don’t worry. I have found 6 beautiful coastlines in Shenzhen for you. The scenery is no less beautiful than Dameisha and Xiaomeisha!
The most important thing is that there are few people and the scenery is beautiful, so you don’t have to travel far. The bright sunshine, the salty sea breeze, the blue sea and blue sky embrace the fine white sand, waiting for a beautiful encounter with you.
At the southernmost tip of Shenzhen's Dapeng Peninsula lies a treasured coastline beloved by Shenzhen residents: Dongxi Chong. It's a popular entry point for many hiking enthusiasts and was even named one of my country's ten most beautiful hiking routes by National Geographic.

The 8-kilometer-long endless azure sea view is accompanied by reddish-brown reefs. The blue sea and sky along the way wash away the dust of the city. The soft white sand, long beach, and mountain flowers sway in the sea breeze.

On the edge of a steep cliff, you have to rely on iron cables to climb a 90° slope. On one side are steep mountains and on the other side are rough waves. Tell me, is it exciting enough?
The shore is covered with giant reefs, and such a magnificent scene can only be experienced by being there in person.

Cross the mountains and the sea, throw yourself into the embrace of nature, and listen to the stories of shells.

The water quality rivals that of international resorts, attracting countless artistic B&Bs. The beach area offers a variety of recreational activities, allowing visitors to escape the hustle and bustle for a relaxing break. A romantic yet thrilling challenge begins with the East-West Crossing.

This place became famous because of the movie "The Mermaid" and attracts many travelers with its stunning scenery where the mountains and the sea merge into one.
As one of Shenzhen's most beautiful business cards, Yangmeikeng is far away from the hustle and bustle of the city and is a great choice for a dream day trip with your family on the weekend.

Take a leisurely hike along the long coastal greenway, admire the winding ocean up close, and snap some beautiful summer beach photos. Along the way, you'll see people swimming and fishing from the rocks.

Here you can find gentle beaches, wild sea cliffs, and super clean sea water, which is as clear as a piece of blue emerald.
Although Stephen Chow's "The Mermaid" made Luzui Villa popular, surprisingly, it has not been overdeveloped and its original ecology has been preserved as much as possible.

Stand on the edge of the cliff and look into the distance, feeling the wild charm of nature.
Below the steep cliffs is a huge reef, and the waves are hitting the rocks harder and harder, splashing water half a meter high.
From time to time, you can encounter painters here using their brushes to record the beautiful scenery, as if there is a mermaid about to jump out of the water hidden in the painting.

Everyone has an island complex in their hearts. The small island that can only be reached by speedboat, stepping on the crystal white sand beach, falling asleep under the beautiful starry sky, and checking in for a romantic sunrise in the early morning.
Whatever you want, Big Lajia and Small Lajia can satisfy you.
Dalajia Island is the second largest island in Daya Bay, while Xiaolajia is a beautiful and natural pristine island next to it with crystal clear waters.

The ways to play on the island are definitely not monotonous. You can walk on the waves on the beach, catch crabs, dive for sea urchins, watch the sunset, admire the stars, and watch the sunrise, fulfilling your romantic feelings!

When you are hungry, you can set up a grill facing the sea and enjoy the sea breeze, have a beach BBQ full of fireworks, and start eating outdoors.

With soft yarn as a mattress, the sea breeze blowing, and some beer, we can play Guess the Line or Werewolf, or share the happy stories of our journey with new friends.
Say goodbye to the crowded coastline and camp on an independent island with the beach right outside your tent. Enjoy the deserted and secret camping spot at night and have a private date with the stars.

This place is called Shenzhen's Little Okinawa and Little Kamakura. Far away from the city, hidden in a small corner beside the mountains and the sea, it hides an unknown romance.
The gentle sea breeze, the Japanese-style streets, and the tranquil and pure beauty unique to the small Guanhu Village make it hard to leave. The road ends at the sea, reminiscent of a classic scene from the Japanese anime "Slam Dunk High School."

Along the 4-kilometer-long coastline, people leisurely walk in the waves, stroll on the fine and soft sand, and feel the cool sea breeze blowing on their faces.

Guanhu, which is popular on Xiaohongshu, allows you to easily take beautiful Japanese-style photos. In addition to the pristine beach scenery, the colorful houses in Guanhu Village, the intersection similar to Kamakura Station, and the fresh traffic lights on the roadside are all the same as those visited by Japanese internet celebrities.

You can stop and check in at any time. The murals everywhere require you to slow down and look for them. You may find a surprise at the next corner.

Not far from Guanhu Village, there is an art park - Yixiang. The warehouse is decorated with artistic murals, and the coffee shops at the corner have a literary and unique temperament. Everything is so comfortable.

Compared with Gulangyu Island, Guanhu Village, with its white waves chasing the sand and the evening breeze blowing gently, is more tranquil. It is a small piece of pure land, but it is also a treasure trove worth exploring.
Quiet and peaceful, it is a great place for taking Japanese-style photos or simply strolling around.
Remember the 2019 hit variety show "Forget Me Not Restaurant"? Several elderly people with Alzheimer's optimistically battled the disease, transforming into waiters and opening a restaurant called "Forget Me Not," warming the hearts of those around them with their smiles.
In addition to the lovely interactions between the protagonists, this variety show also brought popularity to the cozy and natural filming location - Jiaochangwei.

Jiaochangwei is the only village with a coastline on the Dapeng Peninsula. Some people call it the "Gulangyu" of Shenzhen. Its long coastline, blue sea, and dreamy homestays are deeply loved by young people.

A variety of water sports such as motorboats and banana boats are enough to make you scream wildly.

Jiaochangwei, a fairytale town, hides many small beauties of various kinds, and each building has its own style.
Don't worry about accommodation, there are more than 300 homestays of different styles for you to choose from. There are also delicious little restaurants hidden in the alleys, which are suitable for relaxing with friends on weekends.

Not satisfied with the small restaurants on the streets? Many B&Bs here provide barbecue tools and kitchenware. Buy some freshly caught seafood from the nearby market, enjoy the sea breeze, and have a barbecue party with friends. The combination of beautiful scenery and delicious food will make your night more enjoyable.

As the sun sets, stroll along the coastline, chat, and watch the sunset over the sea. Then go to the bar to indulge yourself at night. It's so relaxing.
If you have enough time, you can go to Dapeng Ancient Town to experience the ancient charm of Pengcheng. Known as the "first of the eight scenic spots in Shenzhen", it has quaint houses and streets, and also preserves a unique folk culture.

It is also very pleasant to enjoy a special seafood meal accompanied by the beautiful summer scenery.
Judiaosha, with its white, silver-like sand, is also called "Silver Beach" by the locals.
Green mountains on three sides gently embrace the crescent-shaped, 1,000-meter-long beach in the middle. Stepping barefoot on the silver beach, the soft white sand is as smooth as a carpet, and the waves occasionally rush up to kiss your feet, it's a very comfortable feeling.

The gradient-colored beach is filled with endless romance, transitioning from light blue, dark blue, and azure to far away, so beautiful that you can't take your eyes off it.

Enjoy a summer-only sea kayaking experience on the azure beach with friends. Row your boat, paddle your way through the waves, or even cut through the waves in a speed and passion race. It's more than just a little bit of excitement.
When you are tired of playing, you can lie on the beach and listen to the sea quietly. When you look up, the blue sky and white clouds seem to be within reach.

The midsummer sea breeze blows away the burning anxiety
The naughty waves hit your feet
Orange dusk embraces mint dawn
Looking forward to meeting you on the coast of Shenzhen
The wind at that time must have smelled like orange soda.
