We think Guizhou is a great place to help you get rid of that "class feeling." While it might not give you the same "life is a wilderness" feeling as the grasslands, it definitely allows you to experience the splendor of Guizhou's mountain civilization. Plus, it's definitely a great place to cool down during the summer!

Huangguoshu is famous not for its single waterfall, but for its large family of 18 waterfalls upstream and downstream, each with its own unique charm!
We stood in front of the waterfall, the steam hitting our faces washed away the "cow-horse" air on us, and the sound of the rushing water covered up the sound of pop-up messages in the work group. Only after coming here did we realize that life is worth it!

So we added Huangguoshu to our itinerary. As an old classic scenic spot in Guizhou, it is crowded during the peak tourist season. We tried our best to avoid traffic jams and make sure that everyone’s photos only feature themselves and no one else!
In the itinerary design of Huangguoshu, we divided the Huangguoshu tour into two days, and arranged for tourists to stay outside the Huangguoshu scenic area in advance, so that they can enter the scenic area first the next day, avoiding a lot of time wasted in waiting in line and the torture of squeezing with people. With the morning light and water mist, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery firsthand and truly feel that this trip is worth it!
You can also consider this more wild and luxurious route, which offers exclusive access to the Huangguoshu Scenic Area VIP channel, 4-5 star luxury hotels throughout the journey, and allows you to see the most classic scenery of Guizhou in one go.

To reach this celestial palace, you'll need to soar through the vast forest via a cable car. Red clouds and golden roofs pierce the clouds, while mushroom-shaped rocks rise majestically into the sky amidst the fierce winds. Two ancient temples hang isolated atop a thousand-foot cliff. A sea of clouds swirls beneath you, while Buddhist chants drift ethereally on the mountain breeze. Standing on the border of the Golden Summit, every step feels like stepping on the edge where the human world meets the heavens. Because of its height, it's incredibly cool—a perfect escape from the summer heat!

Delve into the Cool Play Forest and journey through the dense forests of Qiannan's mountains. As you break free from the last shroud of shade, you're suddenly suspended in mid-air! Your heart races as you take in the zipline stretching across the caverns, emerald waters beneath your feet, the whistling of the wind in your ears. As you soar into the karst caverns, turn on the lights and witness the magnificent natural labyrinth, carved over millions of years.

You can also choose another parent-child route, which is equally fun and rich in experience. You can also stay in a wild luxury hotel beside the terraced fields, enjoy a private infinity pool and starry sky terrace; stay in a Miao village B&B to experience the intangible cultural heritage and Miao and Dong customs.

Xiaoqikong's unique karst topography creates a rich mineral-rich waterscape. Due to the mineral precipitation and light refraction, the waters are known for their multi-layered blue-green coloration, with variations in color depending on viewing angle and lighting.

We've also arranged for tourists to check in early to Libo County, allowing them to enter the scenic area the next day. We'll first visit the Xiaoqikong Ancient Bridge, which is now less crowded, allowing you to quietly appreciate the beauty of this stone bridge that once connected the Salt Horse Road.

Enter this sea of peaks, walk slowly along the winding ridges of Baguatian, and be mesmerized by the green carpet dotted with smoke from Buyi villages. From the observation deck, gaze out into the distance, witnessing surging clouds and mist, peaks like spears, and several green mountains piercing the sky from the depths of the earth, forming a frozen, surging wave in the morning light or dusk.

To reach this sky-high pasture, you need to cross layers of lush green mountain ridges. When the last ridge is left behind, the view suddenly opens up to an extremely wide view.

The wind roars, waves of green surge, and hundreds of thousands of hectares of meadow stretch from beneath your feet to the misty horizon. White windmills slowly turn amidst the clouds, cattle and sheep graze leisurely, and the silhouette of a shepherd riding a horse streaks across the horizon.

Step into this fissure in the earth's core, descend along the slippery plank path, and marvel at the sheer cliffs carved from both sides by knives and axes. As the canyon narrows abruptly to a narrow strip of sky, you'll hear the roar of water mist and witness a cascading waterfall like a dragon. Hundreds of silver threads burst from the hundred-meter-high cliffs, shattering into a spray bombardment amidst the jagged rocks.

The rapids roar and surge in the abyss below, the rainbow appears and disappears in the swirling water vapor, and standing on the suspended cable bridge, every second is a real-life reproduction of the Valley of Doom in the epic "The Lord of the Rings"!
I'm going to share some hot news with you: the popular Maling River rafting is located right here.
To reach Yangpidong Waterfall, you need to follow the stream upstream to admire the stunning karst landscapes along the banks. Cliffs, waterfalls, mist... on a clear day, you can even see a rainbow. Just standing by the waterfall and striking a pose is like something out of a National Geographic photoshoot!

Water lanterns illuminate the water, paddle blades push the water, and the paddleboard slowly moves forward. This novel caving experience has made Shilong Cave a popular check-in spot in Guizhou's outdoor circles and even appeared on the cover of "National Geographic China". This summer, come to Shilong Cave to encounter a "Journey to the Center of the Earth" that is unique to you.

As crowds flock to Huangguoshu and Qianhu Miao Village, there's a hint of deep blue, faintly visible when the wind blows through the forest. This is Monkey Valley, hidden beneath the vastness of the Longli Prairie. It's a niche destination you can't even find on a map, where you can enjoy the summer coolness under the waterfall!

To explore the heart of Miao territory, one must journey upstream along the winding, emerald waters of the Baishui River, gazing up at the cascading rows of stilt houses along its banks. As dusk falls, thousands of these mountainside wooden buildings gradually light up from the riverbank to the clouds, creating a dazzling galaxy of stars descending from the earth.

The melodious sound of reed pipes drifted from the Wind and Rain Bridge, the delicious aroma of sour fish wafted from the long banquet table, and the tinkling of silver jewelry on A-mei's skirt and the clacking of cloth echoed through the valley. Tucked away in the corner was a rice wine workshop, indigo flowed through the batik workshop, and beneath the lantern lights, the millennia-old Miao folk songs swayed.

There is a saying in Guizhou, "The Miao people live on the top of the mountains, the Zhuang people live by the water, and the Han people live on the streets." Since the Miao people migrated to Guizhou to escape war, they have been hiding deep in the mountains and are well versed in how to get along with the mountains.
The Miao people do not have their own writing system. In order to pass on their culture from generation to generation, they have continued it through singing, embroidery, batik and other means, and silver jewelry forging is one of them.

Together we visited the village keeper, Long Taiyang, in Kongbai Village. As a village renowned for its silversmiths, when Long Taiyang was a child, every household was filled with the sound of silver hammers. However, as the young men in the village left for work, the sound of silver hammers ceased to be heard.
At this time, Long Taiyang discovered the decline of the village and the craft, so he gave up his high salary outside and returned to Kongbai Village to resume his ancestral business, hoping to revitalize Kongbai Village through this ancestral craft.

The Miao silver jewelry forging technique is not only a heritage of craftsmanship, but also a witness and transmitter of the Miao culture, history, and customs that have been passed down for thousands of years. Therefore, we hope that everyone will not only be a visiting tourist, but also deeply experience the Miao culture and become a disseminator of this skill.
"Located above the clouds, standing in the middle of the water", this is the Miao translation of "Wudong". City life is fast, so fast that you need countless cups of coffee every day to refresh yourself and cope with life, while life in Wudong is slow, slow enough that you can sit leisurely on the wind and rain bridge and listen to the gurgling water, slow enough to savor a cup of Wudong rice wine and get drunk in Wudong.

A thousand Hamlets have a thousand village scenes in their minds. The ideal village in the minds of our Southwest product managers has some common characteristics: clean sanitation, hospitable villagers, quaint architecture, and good infrastructure. The secluded Miao village of Wudong meets almost 80% of these expectations:
Water mills that are over a hundred years old are working normally;
The old house, which is more than a hundred years old, is well maintained by the owner;
The village's library provides people with a better environment for spiritual rest;
At the rice wine shop beside the stream, you can sit by the window on a cloudless night and bask in the moonlight.

Work and life in the city consume a lot of our energy, but in this village that has been nourished by the mountains for thousands of years, every piece of wood and every plant generously releases energy for us, allowing us to "recharge".
While Wudong's altitude of 1,300 meters makes it difficult to grow abundant crops, the area is teeming with medicinal weeds. As the Guizhou proverb goes, "Miao medicine spans a thousand years, and Miao medicine spans ten thousand years." Villagers utilize local ingredients, turning seeds from over 20 different herbs into fermented yeast, which they then ferment with glutinous rice to create a unique "rice wine."
We can stroll through Udon, pick Miao herbs, and brew unique Udon flavor!

Unlock a world of craftsmanship and ethereal beauty in Southeast Guizhou! Clinking hammers, a touch of rice wine, and thundering waterfalls—a profound adventure of craftsmanship, scenery, and landscapes!
A thousand-year-old sound that strikes the heart
Zhaoxing Dong Village is one of the largest Dong villages in China. Wherever the Dong people gather, there's a drum tower. This is where villagers meet during the day and chat and rest at night, serving as a spiritual haven for the Dong people. Zhaoxing Dong Village boasts five drum towers: Rentuan, Yituan, Lituan, Zhituan, and Xintuan.

Walking into this village, you can see women selling fish on the street, grandmothers embroidering, and uncles smoking and playing with birds under the drum tower everywhere, and it is full of the atmosphere of life.

You can stroll around aimlessly and come across interesting cafes hidden in the corners, bookstores by the fire pits, and delicious rice noodle stalls. As you stroll along the river, you can hear the sound of wooden mallets beating Dong cloth in the house, and at night, Dong songs float in the air, accompanying you to enjoy a leisurely holiday life.
The people living in the mountains have developed a set of logic for getting along with nature in their long lives. Guizhou has many mountains and no plains for growing crops, so the locals came up with a better way. They reclaimed layers of land along the mountains, and thus terraced fields were born.

Villagers grow rice and raise fish fry in the fields. As the fish grow, they eliminate pests and weeds in the paddies and excrete manure, creating favorable conditions for rice growth. These spectacular terraced fields have nurtured the local villagers and embodied over 700 years of agricultural wisdom of the Dong people.

We followed the village elders and strolled along the bluestone road beside the ridges of the fields. In the morning, we walked through the folds of the terraces together. The chirping of cicadas mixed with the Dong ethnic group's big songs echoing in the mountains was the unique background music of this trip.
