09:30

Arriving at the Lingyan Mountain scenic area gate, the group packed their bags. After a warm-up, we set off on our sprint! We traversed the stone steps, shaded by bamboo trees and pavilions, all the way up to the Lingyan Mountain Temple on the summit. We rested at the temple entrance and gazed out from the heights. The temple was bustling with incense, and pilgrims often prayed along the way. There were restrooms nearby if needed. We then joined the off-road path to the left of the guardrail and headed towards Dajiao Mountain. We found a scenic spot along the way for lunch and a rest break.

Then we entered the Tianchi Mountain Scenic Area and went up Huashan Mountain. This section is a dense forest and you have to use your hands and feet.

12:30

After crossing Huashan Mountain, you'll see a small temple at the foot of the mountain—the Hejiuling Puji Taoist Temple. After passing the temple, the mountain rises, and you'll continue along the ridgeline, descending Lushan Mountain to Lanfeng Temple (the vegetarian noodles here are a must-try for Lingshu hikers, and those who are more adventurous can try them here). At this point, Dayang Mountain can be seen in the distance.

2:00 PM

Arriving at the foot of Dayang Mountain, we reached the "Dayang Mountain Despair Slope." Resting every three steps, we stopped and walked, supporting each other, and finally reached the summit! The trail from then on was much easier, following the ups and downs of the mountain, with gentle slopes until we reached the exit of Shushan Village! After a long descent, we arrived at Shushan Gejiawu, where there were farmhouses and restrooms at the end.

2:30 PM

Led by the staff, we boarded the bus and returned to Shanghai.

8:00 PM

When we returned to our starting point in Shanghai, everyone was still reluctant to leave and kissed goodbye with tears in their eyes!

Note: Starting from May every year, the temperature rises rapidly. Please consider signing up appropriately and take sun protection measures!

Lingshu: This classic hiking route is considered a standard for physical training by Suzhou hikers. Completing Lingbai in two hours is considered a pass, completing Lingshu in eight hours is considered a master, and completing it in six hours is considered a masterclass. Even more impressive is the seven-and-a-half-hour round trip, which is simply inhuman and insane! The route continues with the Fire Road, Dragon Pond, Huangguan Mountain, and the foot of Dayang Mountain. Hikers should follow their own strength and pace; don't force yourself.
