Huangling is a masterpiece of human culture, with dozens of ancient Hui-style dwellings scattered across the valleys, a hundred-meter drop. Every home features windows for natural light, and racks for drying produce. Villagers use their windows as canvases, racks as brushes, and drying boards as palettes. In spring, they dry bamboo shoots and bracken; in autumn, they dry red peppers, rice, and soybeans. This creates a masterpiece of folk customs that continues year-round.
12:00
Everyone will have lunch at Huangling Mountain on their own;
13:00
We left Huangling and headed to Tachuan, one of the four great autumn colors in China (about a 2-hour drive);
3:30 PM
We arrived at Tachuan. The entrance and surrounding areas of Tachuan Village are dotted with towering tallow trees. Every autumn, after the frost, the trees turn from green to yellow, then from yellow to red, creating a rainbow of colors. In the afternoon sun, the mountains are covered in vibrant autumn leaves, shrouded in a vibrant array of colors, and the pink walls and black tiles are shrouded in a breathtaking beauty. This ancient mountain village, adorned with a vibrant array of yellow, orange, light red, and deep crimson leaves, exudes a captivating charm year-round and is well worth a visit! Tourists with photography aptitudes can also capture the sunset in Tachuan.
6:00 PM
Continue to Hongcun and stay at a B&B within the scenic area (approximately a 10-minute drive). After checking into the Hongcun B&B, you can freely enjoy the night view of Hongcun. Hongcun under the night sky has a unique charm. The black tiles, white walls and strings of red lanterns are reflected in the moon pond, adding a fresh color to the elegant Hongcun. Please pay attention to safety during free time!

Day 2 Hongcun → Qishu Lake → Xieli → Huangshan City
All day
Before the tourist influx, we rose early to quietly admire the morning scenery of Hongcun and take beautiful photos of ourselves, no one else around! A light mist shrouded Hongcun in the early morning, clouds drifting across the distant mountains. Nearby, small bridges, flowing water, and houses, all reflected in the mirror-like clarity, resembled a series of ink paintings. As the sun gradually rose, everything in Hongcun gradually brightened.
Enjoy a leisurely stroll around Qishu Lake, which boasts breathtaking scenery, especially its Metasequoia trees. The water reaches depths of dozens of meters, and the lake and mountains, with their shimmering emerald waters, are like a virgin, shrouded in mist and rain. In autumn, large patches of pink flowers gradually sprout along the lake's edge, painting the shoreline a striking shade of rosy pink, a visual feast.
After lunch, we return to Huangshan City (approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes). En route, we'll pass the entrance to the Hongcun Tunnel. Where permitted and safe, we'll stop for a bird's-eye view of Xieli. The high slopes at the entrance to the Hongcun Tunnel are a prime spot for photographing and admiring Xieli. Xieli, known as the "Colorful World," is a secluded and wild Huizhou village, a place where you'll be captivated and immersed in a vibrant world.
Afterwards, we continued driving to Huangshan City, arriving at Huangshan North Station at 14:30 and Huangshan City at 15:00. The trip ended with a tearful kiss goodbye. See you next time~
