08:00

After breakfast, depart for the Yunhe Rice Terraces. Be captivated by the wonders of mist and clouds, the winding terraces stretch from the foot of the mountain to the summit, resembling the texture of nature. As you journey through the mountains, overlooking the layers of curves, the scenery changes with each step, and you'll experience the wonders of nature.

Farmers have cultivated this area since the Tang Dynasty, gradually forming this terraced landscape over the millennia. Magnificent terraces stretch out before your eyes. Wander among them and experience the wisdom of our ancestors.

12:00

We departed from the Yunhe Rice Terraces and journeyed to the Ancient Weir Painting Village, where the ancient camphor trees and historic water overpass at Yantou stand, immersing ourselves in the beauty of nature and the wisdom of the ancients. The scenic area is a breathtaking painting, dotted with millennia-old camphor trees, interwoven with ancient villages, and boasts a millennium-old weir, comparable in fame to Sichuan's Dujiangyan. These elements all contribute to the region's rich cultural heritage. Wandering the ancient streets felt like transcending the boundaries of time and space, a journey of both body and soul. We then embarked on a boat trip along the 800-li Oujiang River (Wenzhou's mother river), a sacred spot for sketching at the Academy of Fine Arts.

Arriving in the "Painting Village," the artistic town listened to the legendary stories of the Barbizon School. The entire street was filled with a strong cultural atmosphere. It is truly a "Painting Village" and a great place to experience the artistic atmosphere.

This is a natural studio, used as a backdrop for numerous film and television productions, including "The Twin Dragons," "The Heroines of the Yang Family," "The Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils," "Southern Shaolin Temple," "Chinese Paladin," and "Ancient Swordsman." On a clear day, the peaks and rocks appear vibrant and varied, while on a rainy day, the landscape becomes misty and shrouded in mist. Take a stroll through this wonderland.

Enter with a tea ceremony, and enjoy a toast led by the village owner. You can also witness a charming She opera featuring a romantic relationship. You can also try some She sports: herding wild boars, slinging poles, and kicking rocks.

Ciyan Scenic Area, located 24 kilometers south of Jiande City, is a tourist destination that blends Buddhist culture with beautiful mountains and rivers, earning it the nickname "Little Jiuhua of Western Zhejiang." It is renowned for its Jiangnan Hanging Temple, long valley streams, and natural standing Buddha statues. The Daciyan Hanging Temple is the only hanging temple in East China, similar in style to the Hanging Temple of Hengshan Mountain in Shanxi, earning it the nickname "Jiangnan Hanging Temple."

Zhuge Bagua Village, located in Lanxi City in central-western Zhejiang Province, is home to nearly 4,000 descendants of Zhuge Liang, making it a nationally recognized gathering place for these descendants. The village is centered around a bell pond, with eight alleys radiating outward, forming the inner Bagua. Even more remarkable, eight hills surround the village, forming the outer Bagua. Zhuge Bagua Village is primarily built on Ming and Qing dynasty architecture, with over 200 well-preserved ancient dwellings and halls from the period. Despite centuries of evolution, the village's nine-square and eight-trigram layout remains unchanged. Its architectural style of "blue bricks, gray tiles, horse-head walls, thick beams, plump pillars, and small boudoirs" has become a model for ancient Chinese villages and dwellings.

Guyan Painting Village, located southwest of Lishui, is a renowned Chinese art sketching base and a major photography hub. The thousand-year-old town of Dagangtou, a key shipping hub in ancient Zhejiang, is a landmark of Guyan Painting Village. The village is dotted with historical and cultural relics, including a cluster of thousand-year-old camphor trees, a thousand-year-old town, a thousand-year-old celadon kiln site, and a cluster of thousand-year-old steles. The town's ancient streets, built along the river, are often seen with people working on their sketchpads, creating a vibrant artistic atmosphere.

Dinghu Peak in Xiandu is the centerpiece of the Xiandu Scenic Area and a symbol of the city. Resembling spring bamboo shoots, Dinghu Peak reaches up into the sky. Amidst verdant pines and cypresses, a pond forms at the summit, a source of water that never runs dry. Legend has it that this is where the Yellow Emperor, the ancestor of the Chinese nation, forged a cauldron to refine elixir before ascending to heaven on a red dragon. The great Tang Dynasty poet Bai Juyi once described this wonder of the world with the lines, "The Yellow Emperor's banners depart, never to return; a single cloud and a lone rock tower tall. Sometimes the wind stirs the waves of Dinghu Lake, scattering them like raindrops on a sunny day."

[Yunhe Terraces] Due to the high altitude of Yunhe Terraces, the water in the fields and the river valley evaporates upwards and is affected by the air flow to form a sea of clouds. The water is fully absorbed by the forests and turns into clouds, mist and rain, which stay in the high mountain jungles. White clouds often linger on the mountain tops and fields, making them appear virtual and real and layered, forming a series of ever-changing natural paintings.
