All day

07:00-07:15 Gather at the designated location of China-TravelNote and sign in.

We set off at 07:15 sharp, interacted with the team leader, and laughed all the way!

We arrived at Ningbo Dongshan Village around 11:30 AM. We rested and set off, entering the Yuegong Mountain Ancient Trail and ascending along the stream. Surrounded by lush green mountains, lush bamboo forests, a gurgling stream, and a gentle breeze, we passed a dreamy sea of pink daisy flowers, blooming like mist and gauze on the hillside of the ancient mountain village.

At noon, we had lunch at Dongshan Village Road. Let’s share what delicious food we had.

At 1:30 PM, we'll rest and continue our journey. We'll stumble upon a vast alpine tea plantation, interwoven with an ancient path. Nestled within the tea plantation is a sea-view pavilion, offering a breathtaking view of half of Ningbo: Dongqian Lake, Fuquan Mountain, the Xiangshan Port Bridge, and the Windmill Highway. The rolling hills, the serene beauty of the lake, the cool breeze, the fresh air, and the breathtaking scenery are truly refreshing.

At 4:00 PM, we walked through the tea plantation and followed the ancient trail back to Dongshan Village at the foot of the mountain. The bus was waiting for us early, so we boarded it for the return trip.

We returned to Shanghai around 19:30, ending a pleasant day and making plans to travel together next time.

Driving time: Shanghai to Dongshan Village: about 3.5 hours

Hiking: The entire hike is about 9 km, with a cumulative ascent of about 400 meters

1. What if it rains? We'll decide whether to proceed with the event 2-3 days before the event based on the weather forecast and route conditions. Please stay tuned for our notifications. Most events will proceed as planned even with light rain. Rainy days are still fun. If heavy rain is forecast, we'll notify you that the event will be cancelled and a full refund will be given.

2. Is this route crowded?

Most of our routes are natural and niche, with relatively small traffic. Of course, it also depends on the registration situation for each period. Generally, ordinary models are 37-seat buses, and a few large models are 53-seat. Each car has a certain proportion of tour leaders to ensure the quality of the event.

Dongshan Village: Nestled in the Chijin Mountains of Yinzhou District, Dongshan Village stands over 500 meters above sea level. The ancient village faces Fuquan Mountain to the east, Dagang Mountain to the west, and a series of mountains in its back. Dongshan Village boasts a history of over 700 years, with dwellings dating back generations, scattered throughout the village, nestled against the mountainside. In ancient times, Dongshan Village was known as "Moon Palace Mountain," a charmingly ethereal place. Together with Qianjia Mountain, Zhi Mountain, Yujia Mountain, and Wujia Mountain, it was known as the "Five Mountaintops." An ancient road through the village served as a vital traverse for villagers conducting business and trade, serving as a link between the village and the world beyond.
