Shantou Highlights, 2-Day Tour of Nan'ao Island

Day 1 Chaoshan Airport/Chaoshan High-speed Railway Station/Shantou South Railway Station → Shantou Nan'ao Island

All day

Today between 9:30 and 12:00, our driver will pick you up at Chaoshan High-speed Railway Station/Chaoyang Airport/Shantou South Railway Station/Shantou Hotel to start your trip.

Set off for Nan'ao Island in Shantou, and enter Nan'ao Island via the Nan'ao Island Bridge. Along the way, we passed by the popular camera positions on the island.

Changshanwei Lighthouse is the first lighthouse you see when entering Nan'ao Island. It also serves as a viewing platform for the Nan'ao Bridge. The bright red tower is very eye-catching, paired with the warm yellow base seat and the azure sea, making it a very photogenic place.

Qian'aowang Lighthouse, whose history can be traced back to the Qing Dynasty, is located on a long pier extending into the heart of the sea. The white tower body and green top contrast with the reefs and waves.

In order to commemorate the Maritime Silk Road, the Maritime Silk Road Square is divided into two levels of sea-viewing platforms, with tourist facilities such as sea-viewing platforms, sightseeing pavilions, sea-viewing bridges, coastal plank roads, situational sculptures, large natural stone landscapes, and sightseeing lampposts.

At lunch time, we had a free lunch in Nan'ao County and tasted the local food.

Yun'ao Pier, the largest port on the island, is a key landmark in the fishing port. Due to the film "Four Seas," it's a popular check-in spot for many tourists visiting Nan'ao.

Haiquan Bay and checking in at the 23rd parallel wall are one of the symbols of coming to South Australia. We visited and checked in here.

The Sancongya Lighthouse is a red and white lighthouse with a unique and artistic color scheme.

The Natural Gate in Tropic of Cancer Square is an evolution of the Chinese character "门". Every year at noon on the summer solstice, when the sun is directly above the Tropic of Cancer, the shadow of the sun will pass through the central circular tube of the sphere above and be projected onto the center of the platform.

Stay at the Qing'ao Bay Beach Hotel at the right time. You can move freely and walk along the beach of Qing'ao Bay to feel the charm of the sea and the beach. (Please pay attention to safety during free time and do not enter the water in non-designated swimming areas.)

In the evening, you can have free time and go to the small fishing village next door to find local delicacies.

Day 2 Nan'ao Island → Shantou

All day

Qing'ao Bay is a great place to watch the sunrise. You can go to the beach to watch the sunrise in the early morning.

After checking out at about 10:00, we set off and headed for the Rainbow Sea. Here you can see colorful buoys floating on the sea. They were originally used by fishermen to locate the location of oysters under the sea, but they have become a magnificent landscape and are also called the Rainbow Sea by netizens.

We headed to Shantou along the East Coast Seaview Highway, enjoying the sea view of Shantou along the way.

For lunch we arrived at the small park, which is a standard tourist attraction in Shantou, and there are also many delicious restaurants and landmark buildings worth checking out.
