1. What's good to eat in the ancient town?
The ancient town boasts a food street where you can find delicious dishes from all over the world. You can find mutton offal soup, roasted pears, clay pot porridge, shredded radish cakes, skewers, snail noodles, qiaotou cakes, sesame cakes, wontons, tofu corners, Bobo chicken, and more. While prices are a bit higher than in the city, the beautiful scenery and delicious food are well worth it. Besides the food street, there's also a variety of antique-style restaurants, perfect for satisfying a hungry stomach after a day of exploring.

Gubei Water Town, located in Miyun County, Beijing, boasts a thousand-year history, boasting a quaint, elegant, and picturesque atmosphere. Its densely packed houses, bluestone-paved streets, and long alleyways evoke the atmosphere of an ancient town in northern China during the Republican era. The town is crisscrossed with waterways, woven through the ancient Tang River tributary. Ancient buildings and houses are nestled along the waterfront. Amidst fresh air, blue skies, lush green waters, and towering poplar trees, the town resembles a hidden paradise. At night, the meticulously designed ancient town's illuminated nightscape is truly otherworldly, a stark contrast to the austere yet radiant. Its exquisite design and grandeur are unparalleled in China, a sight not to be missed.
