Day 2 Duolun → SUV transfer point → Hongtu Nur → Beijing

07:30

breakfast

08:00

Meet by bus and depart for the off-road vehicle transfer point. Transfer to an off-road vehicle (4 people/vehicle) and journey across the Hunshandake Sandy Land. Unlike the silent desert, the Hunshandake sand dunes are covered in dense elm forests and caragana shrubs. In summer, grass blankets the sand, and nasturtiums bloom amidst the gravel, creating a breathtaking spectacle of "green amidst the sand, sand amidst the green." When the wind blows, the sand grains dance with the grass blades, as if the earth is breathing gently.

11:30

We chose a beautiful spot for lunch, then continued on our journey to Hongtu Nur. The blue of Hongtu Nur is like solidified silk, reflecting clouds, flying birds, and the distant oboo. When the wind blows, ripples dance like silver, and the reeds rustle, as if the lake were whispering an ancient grassland ballad.

We took the bus back to Beijing in due time, arriving at Beijing Shaoyaoju around 19:00. We waved goodbye, kissed each other tearfully, and looked forward to seeing each other again.

Driving distance: about 410 kilometers, about 5.5 hours

Taipusi Banner's Milk Lake: A hint of the crisp scent of grass wafts through the breeze. Turning the gentle slope, a glimpse of a seemingly counterintuitive blue suddenly catches the eye—Milk Lake nestles quietly in the depths of the grassland. Its waters are as clear as a shattered sky, yet tinged with a faint milky white, like pearls held in the palm of the grassland mother's hand.

Hunshandake Desert: While the wind and sand write rough strokes in the northern desert, this land carved by time hides unexpected tenderness - Hunshandake, the "green miracle" on the Inner Mongolia Plateau, is the lingering of sand and grass, the chord of wind and water, and it is also a never-ending natural epic between heaven and earth.
