Day 1 Wuxi → Qiandao Lake → Muxin Valley
All day
Meeting point 1: 07:00-07:10, intersection of Jintang Street and Zongguantang Road (near Exit 6 of Pinghe Road Station on Metro Line 2. Self-driving cars can park at Yaosheng Building, capped at 20 yuan/day)
Meeting Point 2: 07:30-07:35, Suzhou City Toll Station (G1522 Changtai Expressway Entrance), 200 meters south, waiting for the bus under the elevated road (if you drive, you can park at Huadong Decoration City, the maximum fee is about 25 yuan/day)
12:00
The drive here is quite long, so we arrive at the famous Qiandao Lake and get off the bus to enjoy a delicious lunch (AA dining)
Then we headed to Muxin Valley to start our hike today.
We first walked up a gentle slope and a mechanized farming section to warm up slowly, and then entered the secret forest of Muxin Valley.
This is East China's most atmospheric "S"-rated hiking route, worthy of Zhejiang's "Ailao Mountain." Towering pines and cypresses reach the clouds, gurgling streams and fallen leaves blanket the ground, and wildflowers and fragrant mushrooms occasionally appear along the roadside. This pristine forest will wash away all inner friction and worries, leaving only immersive relaxation. Everyone laughs and walks together, slowly experiencing the reality of "The Wizard of Oz." (There are many forks in the road, so be careful.)
4:30 PM
Walking out of the mountains and forests, we arrived at the shore of Qiandao Lake and checked into the hotel.
Afterwards, we were free to go to the beer town and the viewing point near the Thousand Islands Lighthouse. Coincidentally, the sun was setting by the lake, and we saw a beautiful sunset.
In the evening, you can dine together or find food on your own. After dinner, you can take a leisurely stroll along the lake or go to Qilong Lane to experience the local night market. Tomorrow, you can walk into the Red Valley!

Day 2 Qiandao Lake → Red Mountain Valley → Wuxi
07:30
Get up, get ready, have breakfast at the hotel, and then gather and set off.
08:30
Arriving at Red Valley, we ascended in search of waterfalls: Hanging Bell Waterfall, Pipa Waterfall, Pearl Pond, and Fishtail Pond. Along the way, streams and waterfalls accompanied us, springs gurgled, and the forests shone with coolness, making it feel like entering a fairytale forest. The treacherous ladders built by hikers in the past have become relics, making the trail less wild but much safer.
11:00
We gathered and headed to Daxiajiang Village, the filming location for "My Hometown and I—The Last Lesson." First, we enjoyed a hearty lunch. Afterward, we strolled through the village, a place that evokes the image of our hometown in our hearts: the sounds of chickens and dogs echoing through the rural alleys, smoke curling in the breeze. We strolled through the ancient village, taking photos, and playing in the stream...
1:30 PM
We got on the bus, said goodbye to Qiandao Lake, and gathered for the return journey.
7:00 PM
When we arrived in Wuxi, everyone was reluctant to leave and kissed goodbye with tears in their eyes!
