The eighth section of the Hong Kong Trail, the Dragon's Back, was selected by Time Magazine (Asia) as Asia's best urban hiking trail. Located on the southern side of Hong Kong Island, the Dragon's Back stretches between the peaks of Dalanchengding Mountain and Yunzhen Mountain. The trail's name comes from the undulating, staggered terrain that, from a distance, resembles the back of a giant dragon poised to soar. Along the way, visitors can enjoy stunning views of the South China Sea, Shek O, Big Wave Bay, Stanley, and Tai Tam.
