Day 1 Shanghai → Xianghe Village → Tangfengjian → Shanghai

All day

07:00-07:15 Gather at the designated location of China-TravelNote and sign in.

We set off on time at 07:15, with interaction and itinerary introduction on the bus, and laughter all the way!

Around 11:00 AM, we arrived at Xiangxi Village's Ancient Ginkgo Park. The village boasts 28 century-old ginkgo trees and two 1,300-year-old ginkgo trees. The six-story-tall golden ginkgo trees are truly breathtaking, truly the "King of Jiangnan Ginkgoes"! After taking plenty of photos, we headed off for a hike. (The 2024 ginkgo season is in full swing! Expected to last until the end of November!)

Around 12:30 PM, we arrived at the foot of the stone wall at Xianghe Village. After getting off the bus, we followed our guide for a warm-up and then set off on foot. The first thing we saw was the majestic Stone Great Wall, with its towering, protruding rocks undulating along the steep mountain ridge, a truly breathtaking sight.

On the way up the mountain, we passed the beautiful ancient village of Jiuyangping. It was the perfect time of autumn when several huge ginkgo trees covered the ground in golden color. We strolled through the ancient village along the golden ancient road.

Along the way, we were surrounded by pine, nanmu, and fir trees. The autumn sky was ablaze with color. We reached the summit of Tang Peak, where we had a great view of the mountains. The view was vast, the scenery was endless, and we could see the valleys. We rested here for a while before descending the mountain. (This is the second highest peak in Fuyang, and some parts are steep, so be careful not to slip.)

Around 15:30, we walked along the quiet grassy path, passed a short road and went down to the end point, where we gathered for the return trip.

We returned to the city around 20:30. Everyone was reluctant to leave and kissed goodbye with tears in their eyes.

Driving time: Shanghai to Fuyang, about 4 hours

Hiking: About 6.5km of hiking, climbing about 550m

1. What if it rains during the event?

2-3 days before the event, we will decide whether the event will proceed as scheduled based on the weather forecast and route conditions. Please pay attention to our notifications. Most activities can proceed as usual even if there is light rain. There is still fun to be had on rainy days. If heavy rain is forecast, the event will be cancelled and a full refund will be given to everyone.

2. Is this route crowded?

Most of our routes are natural and niche, with relatively small traffic. Of course, it also depends on the registration situation for each period. Generally, ordinary models are 37-seat buses, and a few large models are 53-seat. Each car has a certain proportion of tour leaders to ensure the quality of the event.

The Dongpo Ancient Trail begins at Langjiawu on the Xianghe River in Xindeng, passes the magnificent Stone Great Wall, the ancient village of Jiuyangping, and finally reaches Tangfengjian, 710 meters above sea level. Ascending along the ancient trail, you'll be greeted by vibrant mountain flowers and gurgling springs. As you ascend, you'll find the Stone Great Wall in plain sight. Rows of natural boulders rise from the mountain ridge, forming a towering, continuous stone wall.

Jiuyangping Ancient Village, nestled in a mountainside nestled on the slopes of Tangfengjian Mountain, is a veritable paradise, tucked away in the heart of the world. Within the village lies Jiuyangping Village, a historic settlement relocated in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, boasting centuries of history. The village's ancestral hall, where the first Party branch of Xindeng County was established, also features inscriptions on the Zhang family motto, passed down from the Five Dynasties period, spanning over a thousand years.
