The Dazu Rock Carvings are the collective name for all the rock cave sculptures located in Dazu District, southwest China. To date, 75 of these sites have been designated as cultural relics protection sites, housing over 50,000 sculptures. They represent the pinnacle of world rock cave art from the 9th to 13th centuries AD and are the final monument in the history of human rock cave art. The Dazu Rock Carvings began to be carved during the early Tang Dynasty in the 7th century AD and reached their peak during the Song Dynasty from the 9th to 13th centuries. They showcase the significant developments and changes in Chinese rock cave art styles during the Tang and Song dynasties, offering unique historical, artistic, and scientific value. They are renowned for their grand scale, exquisite carvings, diverse subject matter, rich cultural heritage, and exceptional preservation. In December 1999, the Dazu Rock Carvings, represented by the "Five Mountains" of Baoding, Beishan, Nanshan, Shimenshan, and Shizhuanshan, were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Wulong's Three Natural Bridges are the world's largest natural bridge complex, known as the Three Natural Bridges. These three natural stone arch bridges, averaging over 300 meters in height, are arranged vertically, a masterpiece of nature. Their scale and grandeur are evident, spanning the Yangshui River Gorge in parallel within a span of less than 1.2 kilometers, connecting the mountains on both sides. Between the three natural stone arch bridges lie the Qinglong Tiankeng and Shenying Tiankeng cemeteries, creating a unique "three bridges sandwiched between two cemeteries" landscape. This is a prime example of southern China's karst landforms. Compared to other well-known karst formations, this area offers a subterranean art form, tucked away underground, modest yet powerful and majestic.

The Longshuixia Fissure, located in Xiannvshan Town, Wulong District, is a 4-kilometer-long cascade of springs and waterfalls, steep cliffs, and rugged rocks. The 80-meter-high waterfall is truly breathtaking. Old trees and vines entwine within the fissure, while the springs and waterfalls hang steeply and deeply, amidst the rugged rocks and turbulent streams.

Fairy Mountain, located on the north bank of the Wujiang River in Wulong District, Chongqing, is part of the Wuling Mountains and 180 kilometers from Chongqing's main urban area. It stands at an altitude of 2,033 meters and boasts 330,000 mu (approximately 1,000 acres) of forest and 100,000 mu (approximately 1,000 acres) of natural grassland, with an average summer temperature of 24°C. Known for its unique alpine grasslands, the rare snow-covered forests of southern China, and its tranquil and picturesque jungle landscape, it is known as the "First Pastoral Plain of the South" and the "Switzerland of the East." Its captivating forest and grassland scenery is unique in Chongqing.
Wulong Furong Cave, located 4 kilometers from Jiangkou Town in Wulong County on the banks of the Furong River, was discovered in May 1993. After two field surveys by relevant cave research institutions in China and Australia, it was declared a "world wonder, a first-class cave attraction," and "an underground art palace and cave science museum." The main cave is 2,700 meters long and covers a total area of 37,000 square meters, including the "Glorious Hall" which covers 11,000 square meters. The stalactites in the cave represent nearly 30 types of sedimentary features found in nearly every cave system in the world.
Jinfo Mountain: A World Natural Heritage Site, a National 5A Tourist Attraction, a National Scenic Spot, a National Forest Park, a National Nature Reserve, a National Natural Heritage Site, and a National Science Education Base, Jinfo Mountain is inscribed on the World Heritage List for its biodiversity and unique karst landforms.
816 Underground Nuclear Plant: In 1967, a secretive engineering corps secretly entered the mountains of Fuling to excavate an underground nuclear plant. The Chongqing 816 Underground Nuclear Plant, built to produce atomic bombs, is considered a "world's largest underground nuclear facility." The total investment was 740 million yuan. By the time construction was halted in 1984, 85% of the construction and 60% of the installation had been completed. In April 2002, the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense issued a declassification order, and the massive 816 underground nuclear military cave was re-opened to the public. In 2010, the "816 Project" was partially opened to the public as a tourist attraction for the first time.
Changzhou Ancient City: "Chang" refers to Changzhou, which governed Yongchuan, Dazu, Changyuan (now Rongchang County), and Jingnan counties. The city was nicknamed the "Fragrant Begonia Country," a reference to the "Jingnan Chronicle" in Wang Xiangzhi's "Yu Di Ji Sheng," a collection of historical records from the Southern Song Dynasty. The city is nestled among mountains, a land uniquely suited to the growth of crabapples. The people revered it for its fragrant aroma, earning it the nickname "Fragrant Begonia Country."
