Arrived at Xiaojiaochen Village and started hiking the Taizhou version of the "MacLehose Trail"

Southern Zhejiang's golden coastline was originally an off-road track. China-TravelNote has specially selected 16 kilometers of it, traversing the internet-famous Shuitong'ao Beach, as well as lesser-known hidden gems like Wukeng Village, Dakengsha Beach, and Dongxia Beach. The scenic scenery and easy-to-navigate mountain paths along the way make this a rare coastal hiking experience in Zhejiang. The sea is azure, the mountains are picturesque, and the sky is boundless. This outdoor hike combines the essence of photography and a rendezvous between the mountains and the sea! Here, you'll find beautiful mountain ridges and coastal scenery, smooth, soft, and clean beaches, and clusters of stone fishing villages lining the hillsides. This is the Songmen Greenway on the coastline, a place where the charm of mountains and sea blends seamlessly.

The Shuitong'ao Beach is spacious, overlooking the "Mount Fuji" in the sea. The Dakengsha Beach is less crowded and has beautiful scenery. We can have a meal and rest here and enjoy this high-quality beach.

Note: If you are physically unable to complete the entire hike, as there are multiple descent points along the way, please take a taxi to the destination before the meeting time. If you still encounter unavoidable congestion during holidays, for hiking safety reasons, the hiking distance will be shortened (by 5 kilometers) or adjusted to a small loop around Shuitong'ao.

2:30 PM

After finishing the hike and returning to the starting point, we took a bus back to Ningbo, which took about 3 hours. We were able to return to the city of Ningbo in time for dinner.

Driving time: about 2.5 to 3 hours

Hiking: 10 km loop, with a total ascent of about 700 meters, taking about 3-4 hours
