10:00 am, start hiking from Dan River Canyon:

No more long journeys, fully upgraded routes, improved and optimized, double the fun

The hike is about 8-9 kilometers long, passing through the "Asia's first single-arch railway bridge" and watching trains passing through the cave one after another;

We descended to the Dan River Gorge (Dan River is the name of the confluence of the Qingtian River and the Baishui River), followed the river up, passed the Baishui River, and arrived at the Lianggutuo Waterfall. You are bound to get your shoes wet along the way.

Around 13-14 o'clock, you can eat at the farmer's house. You can order as much as you want or have a group meal in a big pot. You have to pay for it yourself (book in advance)

The afternoon is mainly spent playing in the water, swimming, jumping into the pool, diving, fishing, stealing half a day of leisure.

You can also follow the waterfall viewing team and check in at Lianggutuo Waterfall

At around 3:00 PM, we met up with the farmers and headed to the exit of Qingtian River Scenic Area, ending our hiking trip.

Return at approximately 16:30 and arrive in Zhengzhou at 18:30

One by one, one by one

Phoenix Mountain in South Taihang: The bloodiness and grandeur hidden in the mountains and waters

This mountain range, stretching across the Central Plains, boasts both the beauty of emerald waters and the grandeur of a tiger, capable of swallowing vast swaths of land. The landscape of the Southern Taihang Mountains is never an isolated scene, but a flowing epic—here, every step is a dialogue with nature, and every glance reveals the grandeur of the mountains and rivers.

Baishui River: The Poetic Concept of Water Love in "Water Classic"

The Baishui River, originating from Baimasi Mountain in Jincheng City, is less than a hundred miles long, but thanks to the description of Li Daoyuan in his "Water Classic: Qinshui" in the Northern Wei Dynasty, it has become a river of prestige, flowing for millennia. Like a jade belt, it winds through the green hills at the border of Henan and Shanxi, ultimately merging with the Dan River and then the Yellow River.

Green mountains stretch out on both sides of the river, and the valley is about 50 meters wide. The reservoir upstream allows the water volume to be gently and controllable. The shallow and rocky river channel has become a natural playground. When you step barefoot into the clear stream, you can touch the round pebbles. The sunlight shines through the gaps between the leaves, weaving mottled light and shadows on the water, like gold scattered casually by nature.

As you ascend the river valley, you'll encounter delightful surprises hidden amidst the lush greenery. The abundant Baishuihe Waterfall is a highlight, its splashing water tinged with the fragrance of vegetation. Five natural villages, including Dongcun and Xicun, dot the banks, preserving a pristine mountain atmosphere. If you're planning to wade in the water, remember to bring slippers so your feet can engage in a gentle dialogue with the stream.

Lianggutuo Waterfall:

It's been described as "thunder in the valley." Unlike the graceful Baishui River Falls, this waterfall cascades down a nearly 20-meter-high cliff. During the summer months, when the water is abundant, the entire rock face appears blanketed in a blanket of white. The roar of the cascading waterfall reverberates through the valley, and the splashing water cascades into the deep pool at the bottom, stirring up ripples. Standing by the pool, the mist washes over you, instantly dispelling any heat and leaving the air moist and refreshing. If the sunlight reflects off the falls, you might even see a faint rainbow hanging above the waterfall, creating a striking contrast with the surrounding lush mountains.

Driving time: 2 hours

Hiking: 8 kilometers in total, with a total ascent of 200 meters

Note: Suitable for first-time outdoor novice participants.
Those with no experience but who have a habit of running and fitness exercises, do not have high blood pressure, high blood lipids, or are overweight (BMI>28), and have basic equipment are welcome to sign up and participate.

White Water River

The Baishui River, a tributary of the Dan River, originates at Baimasi Mountain north of Jincheng City and flows southeastward to the border between Henan and Shanxi, where it empties into the Danjiang River. During the Northern Wei Dynasty, geographer Li Daoyuan once leisurely journeyed near the Baishui River and recorded it in his "Water Classic Notes, Volume 9, Qinshui River," thus giving this small river, less than 100 miles long, a distinct identity. Green hills stretch on both sides, especially the west, and the valley is approximately 50 meters wide. A reservoir is located 10 miles upstream. Due to drought and lack of rain, the water volume has decreased, leaving the water shallow and the rocks exposed.

The Baishui River, located beside the Qingtian River, eventually flows into the Dan River, then into the Qin River and finally into the Yellow River. Li Daoyuan once recorded it in "Water Classic Notes, Volume 9, Qinshui", and from then on, this small river of less than 100 miles had a distinct identity.
