Hokkaido - Yotei Mountain Spring Water Park and Lake Shikotsu

We stayed at a hot spring hotel by Lake Toya, where the view from the balcony showcased the stunning lake. Interestingly, this lake does not freeze even during Hokkaido's winter. At night, the hotel also hosts a fireworks display 🎆!

Next, we visited Yotei Mountain Spring Water Park. Yotei Mountain resembles Mount Fuji and is incredibly beautiful, with snow rarely melting at its peak. At the park located at the foot of the mountain, we enjoyed drinking the naturally flowing spring water, which was pure and refreshing. This spring water has been selected as one of Japan's top 100 natural water sources. There's also a nice coffee shop nearby!

Lake Shikotsu is Japan's second deepest lake after Lake Tazawa. It is also known as the coldest and northernmost lake in Japan that does not freeze.
