If you’re visiting Karakol city, make sure to spend some time at Issyk-Kul Lake, one of Kyrgyzstan’s most beautiful natural spots.

At the lake, you can:
Rent a boat or take a short cruise ride to enjoy the views from the water.
Try paddle boarding (boards are available for rent) if you’re looking for a bit of adventure.
Relax at the public beach area, where you can rent umbrellas for shade and stay safe from the bright summer sun.
Bring or buy snacks nearby and have a picnic by the shore.

The water temperature is very pleasant not too cold and not too warm making it perfect for swimming or just dipping your feet. It’s a great way to cool off in summer and spend a relaxed day surrounded by mountains and fresh air.
