Las Hemas｜A wild luxury experience where desert meets pool

Just got back from The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Desert Hotel. It’s only a 1 hour and 10-minute drive from Dubai, very kid-friendly, and this desert hotel is really perfect for bringing children!

The entire resort is huge, and you can call a shuttle anytime you go out. If you want to get closer to nature, the rooms come with bicycles 🚴 so you can ride to watch the sunrise and sunset 🌄. It’s especially friendly for little babies, and the hotel thoughtfully provides small children’s wagons~
Our tent villa has a private pool 🏊, and every morning we woke up to see antelopes strolling right outside the door. The kids were super excited!

🏷️ The hotel offers a wide range of activities:
✅ Free falconry show 🦅 daily from 5:30 PM to 6:15 PM, and you can get up close to owls during breakfast
✅ Horse riding 🐎, camel riding 🐫, stargazing 🌟, night tours, and off-road sheep herding 🐑 require extra fees
✅ Be sure to visit the nearby watchtower or desert to watch the sunset—every snapshot looks like a masterpiece!

💡 Handy tips:
▪️ The minibar only offers free water and coffee; other snacks and drinks are charged
▪️ It’s recommended to bring some baby snacks as the restaurant options are limited 🍚
▪️ All activities must be booked in advance, especially camel riding and off-road sheep herding
The biggest surprise is that you can stargaze at night using the room’s telescope, and the butler will prepare a petal bubble bath 🛁. After the kids fall asleep, lie on the terrace and watch the stars—this is what a vacation should be like✨

I was worried the Middle Eastern summer would be too hot, but the hotel’s heated pool and many indoor activities made it totally fine! The service is thoughtful, even providing children’s sunscreen. Don’t worry about Chinese food cravings—the restaurant has fried rice and noodles!
