Dajingmen Scenic Area is located in Qiaoxi District, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, covering an area of 17.6 hectares.
Dajingmen was built in the first year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1644 AD) and has a history of more than 370 years. It is an arched gate based on strips of stone. The door wall is 12 meters high, the base is 13 meters long and 9 meters wide. , showing the ingenious combination of ancient architectural art and engineering technology.
Dajingmen, together with Jiayuguan, Shanhaiguan and Juyongguan, are known as the four major passes of the Great Wall, and are known as the "first gate of the Great Wall".
Dajingmen, with its unique historical background and geographical location, has become an iconic scenic spot in Zhangjiakou City and a national AAAA-level scenic spot.
