Puglia — White Walls and Warm Promises

✨ Puglia glowed like a secret kissed by sunlight. ☀️ We landed in Bari and rented a small car (~€50/day) to wander whitewashed towns and coastal cliffs that looked painted by hand.
🏠 Begin in Alberobello, strolling among its cone-roofed trulli houses (€10 museum entry) — the kind of place where even shadows feel soft. Next, head to Polignano a Mare, stand on Lama Monachile Bridge, and watch waves crash under your feet. Don’t miss Ostuni, the “White City,” where every turn opens to sea views and citrus air.
🍝 Lunch at Grotta Palazzese, a restaurant carved into the cliff (€160 per couple) — the sound of the waves mixes with the wine. Try orecchiette with turnip tops and burrata so fresh it melts. Stay in a converted trullo at Trulli Holiday Resort (~€230/night) for the dream to keep going.
💡 Pro Tip: Visit in late autumn when the heat fades but olive harvests perfume the air. Drive the Itria Valley at golden hour, stop anywhere you see light on white stone, and let time disappear. That’s where I knew — I wanted her to make this life our forever home.
