28 Panfilov Guardsmen Park is a beautiful, large park in the heart of Almaty. It's perfect for strolling and relaxing. The park features the Ascension Cathedral, the Martyrs' Museum, and numerous monuments. There are also ice cream stands and children's play areas.
The park is large, with shady alleys and plenty of benches. Among the attractions are the Panfilov Hero Monument, the Momyshury Fortress Monument, and the Alley of Patriotic Heroes. Nearby are the Ascension Cathedral and the Museum of Musical Instruments. It's wonderful to enjoy a quiet, natural stroll here.
