A Hidden Paradise Like a Fairyland

Recently, a mainland TV drama has become extremely popular, sparking endless fascination with the distant Xinjiang Altay region. This has also led to the development of unique tourism activities around the Altay Mountains and Tianshan Mountains. The entire area is characterized by lush green grasslands, herds of cattle and sheep, and the leisurely and optimistic lifestyle of Xinjiang.
I was fortunate enough to visit Altay at the end of last month, just before the upcoming peak season. The four distinct seasons bring ever-changing scenery. During my visit in late autumn, the wild winds turned harsh, but the withered trees still stood tall. Today's Altay is much more accessible than in the era depicted in the drama, yet it remains a place where one speaks softly, fearing to disturb the celestial beings.
