Guanmenshan boasts beautiful scenery, with secluded valleys and dense forests, a harmonious blend of mountains and water, and treacherous peaks and unique forests. A river and two roads run through the area, with gurgling streams flanked by peaks and lush forests, blocking out the sun. The area boasts ancient stromatolites, the beautiful Longtou Village, and unfathomable underground rivers. It also boasts a diverse flora and fauna, including rare plant conservation gardens such as the Orchid Garden, Wintersweet Garden, Rhododendron Garden, and Shennong Herbal Medicine Garden, as well as wildlife sanctuaries including giant salamanders, sika deer, snakes, pheasants, and Chinese bees.
Guanmen Mountain Scenic Area is part of Shennongjia National Geopark, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its rich biodiversity, ancient forests, and unique geological formations. It is significant for conservation, ecological research, and cultural heritage of Hubei Province.
