Wilderness Romance - A Solo Pilgrimage

Hardly anyone spends 30 minutes walking from Jaigarh Fort to Amber Fort, but looking back, I found this journey more profound than the fortress itself.
Desolate, unknown, vast—there was nothing, just continuously walking along the long wall, heading toward where someone said, "Amber Fort is right there."
The fort itself is already in ruins, lacking maintenance and located on the outskirts, making its former glory less dazzling and lively compared to the City Palace in Jaipur’s city center; travelers expecting to visit a magnificent fortress palace would surely be disappointed!
But when the place is rarely visited, the long uphill and downhill path, in a way, feels like a solo pilgrimage, a kind of romance that Amber Fort offers to travelers.
