Beauty of ancient Amber Fort

The first thing I noticed about Amber Fort was how big it looked from the road. The pale yellow walls stood out against the dry hills around it. I walked up the main path, passing a few early visitors and locals setting up their souvenir stalls for the day.

Inside, the fort felt surprisingly cool compared to the heat outside. I liked the Mirror Palace best - someone pointed out how the mirrors on the ceiling would have reflected candlelight at night. I sat there for a while imagining how it must have looked.

I ended up spending nearly half a day at Amber Fort without even realizing it. There's so much to see beyond the main attractions - quiet corners with beautiful carvings, different viewpoints of the landscape, and hidden passageways that tell stories of the past. It's the kind of place where you keep noticing new details the longer you stay. I found myself sitting in various spots, watching how the light changed on the ancient walls as hours passed. Definitely worth taking your time to explore properly.
