The Duke's Diwan: Amman’s Nicest Interior

Located on the bustling streets of downtown Amman lies the Duke's Diwan, a charming historical landmark, built in 1924. The building has a rich history, serving as Amman's first post office, the Ministry of Finance, and later, the Haifa Hotel. In 2001, Jordanian businessman and heritage conservationist Mamdouh Bisharat, also known as the "Duke of Mukheibeh," rented and restored the building, transforming it into the Duke's Diwan.

The Diwan's architectural style reflects a blend of Ottoman and European influences. Inside, the rooms are adorned with an eclectic mix of antiques, photographs, and traditional furniture, offering a glimpse into Jordanian life during the 20th century.
