Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots

- Gui'an Cherry Blossom Garden: Located in the north of Gaofeng Town, Gui'an New District, Guizhou Province, this is the largest cherry blossom garden in China and is known as the "best cherry blossom viewing area in Guizhou." It covers a total area of over 24,000 mu, with over 700,000 cherry blossom trees. There are three core scenic areas: the viewing platform, the Cherry Blossom Plaza, and the Extensive Cherry Blossom Garden.

- Cherry Blossom Garden in Shangmaicheng Village, Guanshanhu District: The scenery is beautiful when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. It takes about an hour to get there from downtown Guiyang, and admission is free.

Flowering Season

The first bloom in Gui'an Cherry Blossom Garden in 2025 is expected to be from March 17 to 23, mainly white cherry blossoms; the full bloom period is from March 24 to April 1, when tens of thousands of acres of cherry blossoms enter the best viewing period, mostly pink cherry blossoms.

Transportation Guide

- Public Transportation: Take the high-speed train or intercity express train to Gui'an Station, or take Guiyang Subway Line S1 to Guiyang Big Data Science and Technology Innovation City Subway Station Exit A, then transfer to the Gui'an Cherry Blossom Line 1 shuttle bus to Gui'an Cherry Blossom Garden Tourist Distribution Center. In addition, there are direct buses to the Cherry Blossom Garden from Guiyang Railway Station, Guiyang North Railway Station, and Huaxi University Town.

- Self-driving: From Guiyang, you can take Gui'an Avenue and Industrial Avenue to the Gaofeng Avenue temporary parking area; from Pingba, take Gui'an Avenue via the temporary parking areas in Xiaohewan and Huangmaocun.

- Helicopter: The "Shuang Guiyang" app offers a helicopter cherry blossom viewing project, allowing you to overlook the vast pink sea of flowers from above.

Activities in the Garden

During the 2025 cherry blossom season, Gui'an Cherry Blossom Garden will host a cherry blossom half marathon on March 30. Participants can choose the 13.14 km romantic cherry blossom route or the challenging half marathon route. There will also be themed events such as the Cherry Blossom Spring Rhyme Roadside Concert, Coffee Market, Cherry Blossom Trip Moments Festival, and Cultural and Creative Food Exhibition.

Food and Accommodation

- Food: Small restaurants in Gui'an Cherry Blossom Garden are mainly concentrated in the core area and the Cherry Tea Garden, offering local snacks such as jelly noodles, potatoes, and cold noodles.

- Accommodation: There is no accommodation in the Cherry Blossom Garden. You can choose homestays run by surrounding farmers, or go to Pingba and Hongfeng Lake, where there are hotels and homestays available.
