[Aomori/Aomori City] Shrines that can be reached on foot from Aomori Station

When I travel, I always greet the local deities.

*Hirota Shrine*

This shrine, dedicated to Amaterasu Omikami and Aramitama, is dedicated to protecting against illness and misfortune.

At Hirota Shrine, a formal visit is required to visit all five shrines within the grounds.

A road runs through the center of the grounds, and visitors cross the road to visit all five shrines.

I myself have experienced illness, so when I come across a shrine like this while traveling, I feel like it's a blessing.

There were many types of fortune slips and goshuin stamps available.

... There are various documents and sources about how this shrine was named after the bird, the Utou.
The shrine has a magnificent main hall and is said to grant divine blessings such as household safety, road safety, and protection for the fishing industry.
I had never heard of a bird named Utou before, but I was moved to see how the ancient beliefs of the Auklet, who was considered a sacred being that conveys divine will from the heavenly gods to the earthly world and guides people toward good, seem to be still felt today.
