Arxan, a dreamy fairy tale world

Arxan is not a mountain, but it makes all mountains pale in comparison. It is a small border town located in the northwest of Xing'an League in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, spanning the southwestern foothills of the Greater Khingan Range. It is known as the "Natural Oxygen Bar of China".

❄️ In winter, Arxan is an ice and snow kingdom. The unfrozen river flows through the snow-covered land, with gurgling water and misty fog. The rime and snow mushrooms on the riverbank are breathtaking at every glance.

🍁 In autumn, Arxan is like a richly colored oil painting. From mid-September for less than a month, the peaks, forests, grasslands, and lakes are dyed in layers of vibrant colors. The scene of the blue sky paired with the lake and the yellow leaves slowly falling at Tuofengling Tianchi is a rare sight in a lifetime.

🌱 In summer, Arxan is a summer resort. The average highest temperature of the entire season is only 20+℃. Here, you will enjoy the coolest summer. The Wusulangzi Lake is like a mirror, with a calm lake reflecting the blue sky and white clouds of summer.

🌸 In spring, Arxan is the land of azaleas. The grass in the Greater Khingan Range has not yet grown, the leaves are not yet green, and the snow has not yet melted, but the bright azaleas have already bloomed all over the fields, blooming simply and passionately, as splendid as summer flowers.

Arxan also has the most beautiful small train station in China. It is a two-story Japanese-style building with low eaves and a pointed roof, with a granite wall at the bottom and an orange cement exterior wall at the top, combined with a retro green wooden fence, full of fairy tale colors.

The local cuisine is also not to be missed. The steaming Northeast iron pot stew, with various fresh ingredients stewed in a large iron pot, paired with Northeast specialty sticky bean buns, has a unique flavor in this icy and snowy land.
