Ueno Farm

#summervacay

Ueno Farm , a renowned English‑style garden in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, Japan—not to be confused with Ueno in Tokyo .Spanning about 16,000 m² (~1.6 ha), Ueno Farm evolved from a rice/dairy farm founded in 1906 into a scenic English‑style garden adapted to Hokkaido’s climate under the direction of Sayuki Ueno, who studied garden design in the UK .The garden is divided into 10 themed zones, including: Gnome’s Garden – whimsical wildflowers around a tiny gnome-sized hut, inspired by folklore that gnomes tend the garden at night. Mirror Border, Purple Walk, White Birch Path, and Shateki Mountain, which offers a hilltop vista with colorful chairs overlooking rice fields and the Asahikawa basin .
