[Atami] MOA Museum of Art

The MOA Museum of Art, located on a hill in Atami City, is a private art museum that opened in 1982. It underwent renovations over the course of about a year starting in 2016, and reopened in February 2017. It is Atami's most popular private art museum☺️

The spacious interior has a modern, clean, and unified design that was very comfortable😌

Since it is on a hill, the view of Atami city and the sea from the lobby floor and the garden outside is spectacular✨

It was cloudy when we visited, so it's hard to convey in photos, but...

Hatsushima and Oshima were also clearly visible☺️

There are many national treasures and important cultural properties on display, so it's definitely worth seeing! Limited-time special exhibitions are frequently held, so if you like museums, be sure to check it out 😎

In particular, the circular hall has colorful images projected onto the dome-shaped ceiling by projection mapping, making you feel like you're inside a kaleidoscope 🌈
It's a great spot for Instagram, so be sure to take a nice photo 📷

In addition to the exhibits, there is also a restaurant supervised by Yoroizuka, a cafe and bakery where you can relax while looking out at the sea and city of Atami, so you can take a hot break if you get tired ☕️💕
