[Avignon, France] The walled city of Provence

(Paris) The ride from Gare de Lyon to Avignon TGV station takes about 2 hours 40 minutes to 3 hours. You can get there by TGV (high-speed train).

This time I used a Eurail Pass (Eurail France Pass 4 days). Since I was traveling alone, I didn't have to worry about the seat, so I chose a second-class ticket, but I didn't have any concerns about safety or comfort.

*The pass is only valid for the boarding ticket, so you must reserve and purchase a separate seat ticket each time you board. Please be careful.

At the Papal Palace, you can borrow an AR explanation tablet, and the screen shows how the rooms were used at the time, allowing you to imagine what life was like.

● "LE PONT SAINT BENEZET"

When you leave the city to the northwest, you will come across a bridge that collapsed halfway and was left behind outside the city walls.

Walking across the bridge is of course a famous tourist spot, but personally, I thought the view across the river from outside the city was GOOD.

*Please note that the museum is closed on certain days.
