Magical Aksu, experience the fantastical journey of the Dao Lang tribe

Xinjiang, this magical land always brings me all sorts of surprises. This time, coming to the Dao Lang tribe in Awati County, Aksu, Xinjiang, I embarked on a fantastical journey.

As soon as I stepped through the tribe's gate, I was greeted with a splendid song and dance performance, instantly transporting me into the 'Dao Lang tribe'. The architecture within the tribe is very distinctive. Earthy yellow buildings, exaggerated sculptures, mysterious murals, houses shaped like giant gourds, and huge shoes, everything is so fantastical.

The tribe also features a folk museum, a folk sports area, a thousand-year-old Populus euphratica area, an ostrich breeding park, a water entertainment area, and the Zhejiang-Aksu Friendship Sand Sculpture Theme Park, among other attractions. You can take a small train to tour around.

The tribe also offers a grape vineyard, a fig garden, a fishing area, a self-service barbecue area, and a farm, with very characteristic dining options. In addition to traditional Xinjiang dishes like lamb skewers and mixed noodles, there are also local specialties like roasted fish. While tasting the food, you can also enjoy the wonderful performances on stage.
