Hey there, fellow Pokémon trainers and travel enthusiasts! If you're planning a trip to Japan, I've got a truly unique gem you absolutely have to add to your itinerary: Slowpoke Park! Tucked away in Kagawa Prefecture, this adorable park is an absolute dream come true for anyone who loves the laid-back, lovable Pokémon, Slowpoke.
From the moment you step in, you're greeted by charming Slowpoke-themed everything – from manholes and buses to delightful statues dotted around. It's not just a photo op; it's an entire vibe! The whole area embraces Slowpoke's chill demeanor, making for a wonderfully relaxed and whimsical experience. It’s perfect for unwinding after a busy day of sightseeing.
Getting There:
Slowpoke Park (also known as Hidamari Park Ayagawa) is located at 253-7 Kayahara, Ayagawa, Ayauta District, Kagawa 761-2304, Japan.
By Car is the easiest! 🚗 (with limited parking spaces)
The most convenient way to reach the park is by public transportation:
🚋By Train: Take the Takamatsu-Kotohira Electric Railroad (Kotoden) to Ayagawa Station. The park is just a 5-minute walk from there.
From afar: You can take the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Okayama, then connect to the Marine Liner to reach Shikoku (where Kagawa Prefecture is located).
🛬 From Takamatsu Airport: Look for the special Slowpoke-themed airport limousine buses that can take you into Takamatsu City or Kotohira Town, which are near Ayagawa.
If you're a Pokémon fan, this is a must-go destination that offers a unique slice of the Pokémon world unlike anywhere else. You'll leave feeling refreshed and probably a little bit giddier, with plenty of fantastic memories (and photos!) to share. Don't miss out on this wonderfully peculiar and charming spot!
